As I know you like terrible music, I'll get you a Maroon 5 cd for Xmas.

I have them all. A better present for me would be for you to keep it yourself and keep listening to it until I tell you to stop.

I once bought someone an album of someone they hated in order to improve their musical taste for Xmas. As the Charmed/ Buffy of the site, it was my duty!!

Anywayyy, as I have no earplugs to protect me from the sandpaper voice, I fear my ears would not be up to the challenge!

Oh god, I rarely reply in these threads but I'm so sick of the same boring a$$holes whinging about how 'bad' the charts are.

Just because you don't like what's popular doesn't mean that it's bad or terrible..

If the majority of the buying/streaming public are behind it, maybe it's your taste that's 'bad'?

I'm not a huge fan of Rixton but they shouldn't be discredited as another 'boyband' and a flash in the pan because you don't like their style of music. They write their own songs, play their own instruments.. They should be applauded for breaking through not critised because their music is 'bad'. The song is a catchy, radio friendly pop song, I'm not surprised in the slightest that it's doing well.

I am, however, obviously a massive Nicole fan so I'm delighted to see her still on the rise.

To be fair though, it is a forum and everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Also, surely everyone says something's "bad" or "good" if they dislike/like it. And I don't agree with the notion that "if the majority like it, it must be great".

Anyway, I actually think Rixton's track is one of the better boyband single around atm. The singer's voice is really good on the track. As for Nicole, I'm not really a fan of YL but hopefully it does well enough for her to have a successful era all around. Apparently her album is more urban than 'Your Love' and I think she's worked with Tricky so I'm interested. :D

Ella at #11 now. Looking likely to kick out The Vamps. :( Wish she'd kick out Oliver Heldens, but meh as long as she keeps climbing, I'm going to be happy. Nicole will fall behind her by Tuesday.

Of course everyone's entitled to their opinion.. I'm just sick of the whole superior 'I haven't heard it' or 'I don't like it' attitudes which means it's a 'bad' number 1.

It probably won't even stay at number one, but because you haven't heard a song or you don't like it, doesn't mean it shouldn't be #1.

I was also quite shocked that a chart mod hadn't heard of the song, considering it's been considerably hyped up and has had pretty decent TV/radio airplay.

I didn't say that people like it so it must be great..

I was saying that if a large portion of the single-buying/streaming market are behind it, then their taste/opinion is the minority.

It's all about Nicole staying where she is anyway

URL Badman at 148! $mash hit lol. Please just release L8 CMMR and save this album campaign.

Glad to see Ella Eyre doing well. Nicole is my choice for #1 this week.

I think this campaign is dead right now.

Will.I.Am falling quite fast, let's hope Problem overtakes it v soon

138. One Republic- Love Runs Out

This is included on a One Republic compilation album... I assume it will be deleted fairly quickly

Such a shame Ella is struggling to get top 10 but I suppose it was to be expected based on pre-order performance. I really wanted 'If I Go' to be a massive hit.

It's an unofficial release (note the space in the artist name). Will be deleted very quickly.

Just think, if Jess Glynne had released this week, she'd be #1 no trouble.

she'd have had a higher chart peak (possibly even #2), but I highly doubt she would've sold more than Rixton

still quite baffled at 'Walking With Elephants' doing so well on pre-orders already  I can't really imagine it being a chart hit, but I guess we'll see!

I can't see Walking With Elephants doing much better than ~#32 but anywhere in the top 40 would be an amazing finish for him considering he's not the sort of artist who you'd expect to attempt to chart anywhere other than beatport
Leah deserves to be higher and hallelujah at Cher finally appearing. Sirens is such a good song. That and uptight own town deserve so much more success. Also really happy boom clap looks set to do well
