I'm running behind so I'm currently watching Bungle. Kym Marsh's daughter has been the weakest so far. She was OK but not good enough.

I was disappointed in Ryan's choice of song. From what I remember, he was good last year and I was afraid his choice of song this time would let him down.

Well, maybe his voice hasn't broken yet? Would be rather funny if it dropped halfway through the show if he got through? I had a bunch of friends who were like that at 16 still.

Didnt think he was that great, but nice to see the judges being so kind to him.

I am really enjoying Rita Ora actually, coming across very genuine and lovely. Wasn't really looking forward to her on the show but she seems like a breath of fresh air so far.
Best performance tonight, I really thought she would pick will though, would have suited her much better.

I was really surprised she picked Ricky. I hope her choice pays off. She certainly showed that a singer has a bit of an advantage if they can perform their own song.

It seemed rather odd that they didn't mention Becky Hill at all apart from in a caption. Many viewers have probably forgotten that she was on the show.

That's why I'm quite relieved he didn't go through. It could have been rather embarrassing if his voice broke while he was still in. As he is 16, that has to be very likely. It will be interesting to know what he sounds like in a couple years' time.

This opening probably wasn't as good talent wise as it has been in previous years, but I really like the chemistry between all four judges. I'm trying to just take this as a program to watch on a Saturday night anyway, just a bit of entertainment. After Christina Marie and especially Leah McFall, I'm not going to bother getting attached to or really rooting for any of the contestants, and I'm certainly not going to allow myself to have any commercial expectations for them

I really enjoyed the show today, I'm glad it's back. I much prefer The Voice because it's so much nicer than the other talent shows. Rita actually came across REALLY well tonight which as really surprised me! Definitely a good addition to the panel and amazing replacement for Blandie Minogue.

will.i.am is once again proving why he's the best though. Some of the stuff he says is just hilarious!

Talent wise, it wasn't amazing, but there were a few gems. The girl who sang "Powerless" was incredible. I'm really shocked Tom didn't pick that 16 year-old boy, his voice is right up his street. The acts who weren't picked were definitely the right decisions other than that. I thought Kym Marsh's daughter was really shaky and needs to take time to work on her vocals, so I'm glad she wasn't picked.

I was surprisingly impressed with Rita Ora for the most part. She came across as very warm and her note to the 16-year-old was rather sweet.

OTOH, will.i.am is as irritating as ever.

Appropriate signing considering Rita herself is essentially just a 'voice'/vessel for the basic, faceless music she peddles (IWNLYD aside cos tune ).

In all seriousness, I can't see The Voice getting the boost in relevance it desperately needs on the strength of Rita's name. Much like Jessie, she's too early into her career to have any sort of 'credibility' as a coach and also seems like she could get irritating very quickly.

There's no one more irritating than Will I Am - thinks he's funny but definitely not

I loved 'One Big Family' and especially her voice!

And 'Powerless' shows she's a good writer! :o

She's definitely the best so far.

I'm just catching up now, and what a difference a switch up in female coach made! Although impartial to some of her music, Rita has always been quite a likeable personality from what I've heard of her on the radio, so I was looking forward to this shake-up. Kylie didn't really wow me per se despite her legendary status, and when your other predecessor is JESSIE J you frankly can't be worse. Rita has such a charm about her, and like Liam said, seems like she has a genuine passion in nurturing these artists. Definitely choosing this over Stars In Their Eyes next week!

Said the whole of the UK in unison. :kink:

Jessie J has joined the Australian series now that "focusing on her music" didn't work  oh dear.

Kylie leaving the Australian version as well then

See you next time you have an album out!

Bungle didnt get through

People who are saying the voice has had no success, erm what about Becky Hill

She's yet to have a solo hit so we still have to wait and see what 2015 brings for Becky!

Anyway, that's only one artist across three series so far :P Tyler had limited single success and Bo and Andrea had limited album success.
