I do think that if you removed Bruno from the mix, it would be a bit more muted no matter how good the song is. Sooo glad that he's going to get another credited hit.

Uptown Funk is quite clearly going to be a massive Number 1 in January.

 

Bruno Mars reminds me a bit of Justin Timberlake in the sense his music is very consistent. He hasn't chased the EDM trend (except Sexy Back maybe) and therefore he's created a niche for himself.

Leona is doing well considering she's one of the few artists who's Christmas song isn't being advertised via some kind of compilation on iTunes. I wish Kelly was doing a little better. She was top 15 in airplay and managed to go top 30 last Christmas. Wasn't expecting miracles, but an eventual top 200 re-entry would have been nice.

I think 'These Days' could potentially be like 'Candy'. :o (I know that had higher #1 sales, but it could hold up as well as that did when nobody expected a #1 or particularly long chart run).

Ye, hopefully it'll be added to compilations next Christmas. Fingers crossed heart will pick it up again and other radio stations. Magic 105.4 is on board at the very least. They've been playing it once or twice a day the last few days. :) Should hopefully enter the top 200 in time for the start of December!

 

Hopefully the #1 effect doesn't stop Taylor getting there, I think the #1 effect would benefit Taylor massively - and she needs it to to make up for the streaming disadvantage.
