They've been playlisted on Capital for the first time since they reformed, Heart and Radio 2 love them. Radio 2 is hosting a TT live concert on Sunday broadcast for 2 hours on the channel.

Umi - you think they will sell less than Gary's last solo album? Really?

160k first week I think, but in total? 600k maybe.

So what do you mean by total? After 2014? I presume they're going to keep it on sale for a few years so will eventually sell over 1m!

Take That's new album III is released next week on 1 December.

In my opinion I don't think that the general public is very interested in them as a three-piece band, and I wouldn't be surprised if the album sold less than 200k in its opening week. In fact, I

(I haven't added a poll because they're not very precise and you can only have so many options.)

I think not at previous levels, but the fans base is still massive, The way the tour sold points to this, Amazon had a Ticket presale code

for people that pre ordered the CD, 1000's of tickets were sold on the presale so I think it will sell well.

I think it will clear 150,000 plus, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's done a lot more than this, They seems to shift a lot more albums

than singles ,the current track seems to doing well.

I believe the album will manage 200,000 in opening week and will easily be double platinum by the end of the year. Take That do also sell albums outside quarter 4, further singles and the tour will increase sales and a possible deluxe will boost sales again. I am extremely confident the new album will at the least be a million seller, as this takes into consideration that their sales will half in comparison to the sales of the individual sales of their last three studio albums. We must remember they had 2 live albums in addition to the studio albums, the first went double platinum and the second that sold over 200,000 and live albums usually do not sell well and a re-hashed greatest hits that sold 2.2 million, these guys sell albums.

Personally I think comparing this one's potential with Barlow's own Since I Saw You Last is more suitable and appropriate than comparing it to Take That's own records because they're in a totally different circumstance now, but we'll see.
I think they'll easily bet Sheeran's first week record.

But they aren't as hyped these days (pun intended) so perhaps they won't sell so well?

I think they'll still manage around 300K and sell around 150k-200k every week for the rest of the year. Robbie managed 100k+ for three weeks I think during the Xmas period last year and that was without any real success on the singles chart.

I think Robbie and Jason leaving will dent their sales a bit overall but it'll easily do 1 - 1.5 Million I reckon.

Take That's III becomes most pre-ordered album ever on Amazon UK

Take That's III has become the most pre-ordered album of all time on Amazon UK.

The record, which is due for release on December 1, overtakes previous chart-topper The Endless River by Pink Floyd, Music Week reports.

Director of Amazon EU digital music Steve Bernstein said: "The competition is heating up as Olly Murs, One Direction and Take That, to name a few, battle for the Christmas No.1 spot. It's an exciting twist to see that only a few days before release Take That have swept in and taken the top spot on Amazon pre-orders.

"We'll all be eagerly anticipating who comes out on top, but it's great to see such a much-loved UK band continue with such success."

I remember when X & Y battled for the number one pre order with The Circus, they are 9 & 10 now,

111 preorder success is down to Amazon having the exclusive presale ticket code I'd imagine,

I hope the figures doing the rounds actually convert to sales,

I can see this doing 100k first day with between 250k to 300k for the week. Take That are huge sellers and 'These Days' is actually doing really well this week.

Someone already stated that the above list is probably based on what had been shipped to stores prior to an album's release and I'd agree. There's absolutely no way that III is the largest pre-ordered album in the history of public buying and furthermore there's no way that Never Been Better is the fifth highest pre-ordered album of this year higher than the likes of AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Paolo and Ed.

Robbie Williams to release surprise new album Under the Radar on Monday

Robbie Williams has announced that he will release a new album next week.

The singer will release Under the Radar: Volume 1 on Monday (December 1), and will go head-to-head with Take That's new album III.

The record features a collection of tracks that were recorded for previous projects, but for some reason didn't make the final cut.

In a video recorded for fans, Williams said: "I'll let you into a secret, Guy Chambers isn't happy with me putting these songs on this album.

"He thinks I'm a lunatic for not putting them on an album that we've promoted with TV performances and at radio stations and a big tour. But I'm an impetuous bugger, and I want them out now, now, now!"

Under the Radar follows Williams's 2013 album Swings Both Ways, which became the UK's 1,000th number one last November.

I've heard of surprise single releases, but (Beyonce aside) it's not often you get a surprise album like that!

Robbieyoncé.

There's no way this Robbie album will beat 'III' to #1, could even be his first chart entry to miss the top 2. He's taking a very big risk doing this.

EDIT: and it looks like it's only going to be available via his website. Not likely to make much of an impact at all in that case.

To be fair, I don't think he's doing it for chart positions or any kind of commercial success, he's just got a load of good songs floating around and wants to let the fans have them. Hats off to him!
Even if it doesn't get #1 this week it could easily manage it in the run-up to Xmas (or indeed, thereafter). He has quite the prolific fanbase!
