Fleur's giving it all she's got but this song just doesn't suit her IMO. :(

Don't think Fleur suits the song really. Plus her voice isn't enough to carry the song imo. Much prefer Ben's version.

I agree (but tbf I always would :P). I did like his actually, but he was strained a lot and quite shouty. But then as I said, I always let it slide for winning single performances because I cannot begin to imagine how they feel at that moment!

She's been thrown under a bus if she's being made to sing this particular song in this style.

Well, that was fantastic aswell - I've been a critic of her vocal, but she was spot on there. I really don't know how this is gonna go.

Sadly I have to concede Ben did a much better job on that crucial sing-off. His felt more of a winning performance :/

I actually thought that fitted and suited Fleur a lot better than I originally thought it would. In a similar way to how 'Cannonball' shouldn't have suited Little Mix, but it kind of actually did. Probably her strongest vocal performance, easily!

 

EDIT: After this first month or two with promoting this as her single, I can easily see her ignoring it by the first album just like Little Mix did/have.

It's always been a Ben victory as far as I'm concerned. I actually think Fleur will still be bigger whatever happens so I'm good with it.

I think she sounded quite nice on the low parts of that. Admittedly she couldn't really deal with the big notes in the chorus at all though (although Ben was pretty bad at those too).

not exactly uptempo, but Raleigh Ritchie 'Stronger Than Ever' comes to mind, that would've been a great choice for Fleur

That was a better performance of the track, had a much softer tone to it, where Ben was too shouty

I really liked her version but she should've been given an alternative winner's single like with Matt and Rebecca in 2010.

Agreed. I don't think it's "fixed" at all but if anything it's in Ben's favour with that choice of single.
