At least she can say it wasn't the 1st single of her new album, or even her single at all.

Well L4L did leak 3 months before its UK release and was easily available to download during that time. The fact it even charted at all is something.

But it seems some of you are unwilling to accept leaks effect chart placings when they very much do.

Kylie and Madonna are both experiencing similiar chart difficulties. Both are no longer getting much radio support and not seen as relevant in the music industry. However, I prefer Kylie's music and even though kiss me once isnt a great album, its still better than rebel heart.

The reverse for me - I was disappointed with Into the Blue whereas I'm enjoying Rebel Heart after some judicious pruning of songs

I am a diehard Kylie fan from birth till death, but relevant in this day and age she certainly isn't. Her and Madonna are currently in very much the same boat.

(Still, they're fucking fabulous and nobody can take that away from them. :P

Amen to that, they certainly are!

And it's a shame some people won't accept that she's not the force that she once was.

She'll always be iconic. She's one of those few artists who has a plethora of amazing songs. She'll do reasonably well with albums with strong promotion, but I think '4 Minutes' is probably the last big hit she'll ever have.

Nah, you can never predict when someone so big will have a hit (or not) again.

It wont happen very often though. Look at Paul McCartney.

And there's the key. The title must have something to do with time :o

As much as I hate the idea of Sam Smith beating Madonna to #1, I think at this point we have to accept that it's going to happen :( Mothers Day + Comic Relief = big sales for him.
if it happens, it happens.I won´t be happy, but the again, has happened before, she has some great albums that weren´t number 1, and, maybe her team had learnt something, I don´t know, to have her at TV also the first week, not only the second one, for example

'Give It 2 Me' wasn't big in the UK? It's her second biggest hit ever in the Netherlands (after 'Hung Up') and spent 6 weeks at #1, and quite deservedly so I might add. It belongs to her absolute best material.

'4 Minutes' far overshadowed 'Give It 2 Me' here, but I'd still consider both to be big hits. I'd say nothing released after those 2 has been anywhere near as notable (even 'Celebration', which peaked higher than 'Give It 2 Me').

I thought Celebration was a fairly good sized hit. I consider that to be her last UK hit.

I probably would too, although its chart run and overall sales were far from spectacular.

It does kind of pain me to think it'll probably be her last top 10 hit. :(

^^ I'm sure when she dies the top 10 will be flooded with her hits again.

Anyway how will streaming effect Madonna? I noticed that Bitch I'm Madonna, Ghosttown, Hold Tight, Joan Of Arc, Devil Pray and Unapologetic Bitch are all quite high right now.

I can accept it but I refuse to believe the leaks haven't effected things. You seem to be full of glee at the thought of her flopping.

Madonna is never going to die!!!

We dont need that sort of negativity around here.

Only in the Buzzjack chart forum could you condemn an act with several albums worth of material still ahead of her as being reliant upon her own death for any future top 10 relevance.

Me too. It's her last song that I heard a lot on the radio.

I think she could get another big hit in the future tbh, but it'll probably have to be from a collaboration, or someone sampling/remixing one of her songs, since without radio supporting any of her own singles I'm not sure she can get another big chart hit.

:o That seems a rather drastic solution to getting another top ten single
