This is probably the song that sold the Confessions album and takes me straight back to Summer 2004. So well produced too.

 

Wasn't my favourite R&B ballad song that year - that was I Don't Wanna Know.

Nick Jonas is performing 'Jealous' in the live lounge on Friday, so should give it a little boost towards the end of it's release week and make sure it holds up well.

 

Along with Alan Carr promo in a few weeks time, I can see it being a pretty long running hit. I really hope so.

It's a good thing 'Bitch Better Have My Money' is only a buzz single then, as it's clearly not going to do too well in the charts. I imagine she'll release a more radio friendly song before dropping the album.

 

As far as I know she's not said that it's a buzz single, official single, lead single, etc etc. She's just thrown it out there. I guess they're waiting to see how well it does before they label it as anything!

 

When FourFiveSeconds came out she was adamant that it wasn't the 'lead single', it was just the first track to be released from the album. I imagine they've changed their attitude now it's smashed everywhere.

I always find that live lounge performances never seem to provide a boost, and hinder the airplay of the song as the radio starts playing their cover for a couple of days instead of their current single (though they do occasionally play the live lounge of the current single).

 

Either way, I'm sure 'Jealous' will be a decent hit.

I'm sure Nick Jonas performing in the live lounge means Radio 1 will definitely be playing Jealous a lot (I think they are already anyway, but all promo helps).

Well of course it was going to initially peak high, as it's a new Rihanna single that's not from her floppy soundtrack album. But BBHMM is now down to #15 whilst FourFiveSeconds is still doing business at #4. Not exactly "doing well" is it?

It's doing similarly to 'Doing It' was on pre-orders (probably slightly better). And that ended up at #8, it's a much less busy week for Nick of course, but I can't see it charting higher than #3.
