Think the majority of those sales are from when it dropped to £6 - that’s when I grabbed another for my collection.

^^ I guess momentum was high last year and they wanted maximum impact from the single. I can see us getting a re-issued vinyl this year with XMAS added without much fanfare, I think they’ll just want

Really cant figure out whats happening with the cd version here in Ireland, as i originally posted i had it ordered from Golden Discs but only my vinyl came and was told the cd isnt available until January 5th as i ordered the Exclusive to Golden Discs version but they only told me after the order dispatched.

A friend of mine was in Galway at the weekend and i asked them to see if its available in the Galway branch of the store and he was told they were unable to get the cd version and the vinyl was sold out.

I went ahead and ordered the Amazon version from Amazon.ie and today got an email saying not available for dispatch until January 5th so there definitely is a stock issue.

It will be interesting to how /if the album charts here in the week of January 12th as anyone waiting for the cd will have it counted towards the charts that week but i would say its pretty safe to say the album wont be top 100 here this week after its disappointing debut at 40 last week. Many people may have cancelled their order and bought elsewhere like UK stores so the sales won't count to Ireland plus it also means Kylie will have lost out on any potential casual sales as no casual will pick it up in January when Christmas is over.

While the release was handled well in the UK the same cant be said for here but i doubt it will worry them too much as sales in Ireland in general would count for little.

This feels like a very centric UK campaign - however odd that Ireland can even source CDs before Christmas for the album, almost seems as if they’ve protected all stock for the UK.

I guess if could go very International next year with Spotify and Apple picking it up

It’ll definitely get streams - can’t see either going big on support of a previous Amazon exclusive and Spotify are not known to be the biggest Kylie supporters (they basically cancelled out her version of Santa Baby with their playlists).

Funny this morning, I was out running very early but stopped for a coffee with a mate, At Christmas comes on, then I was in Birmingham bullring, Santa Baby. Nice PRS royalties!

HMV Bullring well stocked on the marble vinyl and they have a few 'postcard CD' left alongside many more standard CD. Of course, I spread out the stock....not as though anyone else is looking or buying much physical stock. The yellow and clear T2 vinyl is in the reduced section, £23, along with Black Vinyl Disco for £15 and DGL triple vinyl edition at £20...that is well worth it, the packaging is great.

It seems that way as shipping christmas albums on Jan 5th is shipping way too late or 11 months too early!!

Back up to 2 on Amazon current best sellers in CD/Vinyl (CD is 32nd best seller of 2025)

Back up to 3 on UK Itunes

Streaming increasing.

Every sale helps

My Banquet CD and vinyl now both marked as despatched!!!

Yes Sarah Hudson sent it to her 4 years ago. Kylie didn't need an Xmas song at the time but now it is released to all our happiness

Love her reaction to the scrabble set at the end

Thank god she recorded it as it will always help me look back on her Christmas album with a greater fondness than i had up to now.

Loving Hot in December now. Christmas music isn’t usually my thing but this is just so fun, in a parallel universe where XMAS doesn’t exist I imagine this is having a DJ Play a Christmas Song type chart run

Sort of think it is a bit of a nod to us in Australia also. We will support XMAS but it doesn't reflect our Christmas. Just the Title "Hot in December" has Aussie Xmas written all over it. She will be home in a few days, spending Christmas in Melbourne as usual.

At least the rollercoaster Amazon XMAS ride is happening but the three new tracks are excellent in different ways and hopefully they’ll all have their time in the ‘hot’ sun in future years.

TBF half the items are Out Of Stock and 90% of items don't even contain XMAS

it was a money grab on the back of the Amazon Exclusive single and its fine if it drops away. It will continue to boost her streaming for years to come
