This is actually quite a decent cover version, he has a lovely voice. His cover of 'First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' on the show was magnificent. :heart:

 

Now I agree there. Arguably the best X Factor performance of all time.

Why didn't Loving You make top 10? Still annoyed at that losing out.

I feel like Matt Cardle had the potential to be huge but just lacked the material to do so.

 

Like maybe Cher Lloyd at her peak huge because let's face it no other X Factor contestant could be 1D huge (except maybe Little Mix or Ella)

This is the best winners song by far and Matt had a lot of potential, shame it didn't come to much. (Original's better ofc. but it normally is)

This is of course massively inferior to the Biffy version, though I can at least thank this for allowing a Biffy Clyro song to be the Christmas #1 that year (and pushing the original into the top 10, that too *.*)

Meh. Never got the hype for this, painfully overrated.

 

Don't like the rapping on this nor monster for that matter.

 

Other than that top 2, I think 2010 will be very hard to beat.

I've always had time for 'Love the Way You Lie', very passionate performances from the both of them. Still a fun one to sing/rap along to.

 

A no.2 single being the EOY no.1 *.*

Love The Way You Lie is so so amazing, easily Eminem's best and one of RiRi's best also. So beautiful, the lyrics vocals and tune and everything is so perfect. Amazing YTD #1 :heart: :heart: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: Also love the video :wub: And Love The Way You Lie Part 2 is even better *.*

Still don't get the fuss with this, weak song for both artists. I don't begrudge it it's place though as it was cool to have a song that never made number 1 the best selling song of the year.

Matt Cardle has done decently to have 3 relatively successful albums (not to mention somehow getting a top 20 single from the third) despite never really having any radio support.

 

Agree that his performance of 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' is possibly the best XF performance ever.

"Love The Way You Lie" has got to be one of Eminem's best works EVER. Had so much respect after that, and then he made the extremely dreadful "Rap God" :drama:

Up next it's 2011 featuring the likes of LMFAO, Pitbull & Marron 5

2011 has some great songs but the top best sellers were largely awful.
