July 5, 201511 yr The first chart I listened to was in November 1998-ish. I was trying to find a guaranteed way to hear Cher's Believe as I didn't have the money to buy the tape single (I only had a cassette player until that Christmas). I got hooked listening from then on and heard so many amazing songs, it helps that the second half of 1998 was completely phenomenal for music for me.

July 5, 201511 yr I think the first time I listened to the chart was in September 2010. Found Buzzjack a few months later and got hooked for a while. While I haven't been listening as often in recent years I do like doing it every few weeks or so to keep up with the pop charts.
