The only record player snobbery I've repetitively seen in the vinyl community is regarding Crosley record players due to claims that they scratch records (my first was an orange Crosley as a gift for my 17th birthday and this was the case occasionally, the aesthetic is lovely hence their popularity but the quality not brilliant) - I have a white Victrola one nowadays, with bluetooth and speakers also and I love it!

My first big purchase is the 1st edition ARTPOP vinyl which I spent an extortionate amount on (the one that includes DWUW).

Lol, same. I have 2 more Britney records to get before I’m satisfied (GH:MP + My Only Wish). Then hmm... I have 1 or 2 Mariah, Madonna and Janet records. But I love getting the rare coloured editions and I’ve left it too late to do that for them without bankrupting myself :P Then I also wanna start collecting Taylor’s discography on vinyl since I’m getting folklore for Christmas... but there are rumours her Big Machine catalogue is going out of print

my Phoebe Bridgers - Copycat Killer EP arrived, just amazing, the cover is so beautiful

will never understand why people abandoned vinyls in the late 80s in favour of CDs, vinyls are 1000 times nicer

It was different back then though... CDs were better at that point though because they could be skipped, put on shuffle etc - it's only because digital files do exactly the same and more in terms of flexibility that they've been killed off. As a physical product and a piece of art, vinyl has always been superior.

They do rip people off with the prices they set them at though!

The reissues should be easily got - just have 1 and 2 currently.

Urban Outfitters have a few vinyl in the sale online, just picked up Mariah Carey for £6.50 and the double clear 1975 latest album for £14 :cheer:

yesterday I got an amazing vinyl, this charity album for the Australian fires called Songs For Australia

I ordered back in February and it arrived yesterday :D
