I’ve had such a good year for concerts so far! I’ve already matched my record for most in one year (2018) and will surpass that very shortly as I have a few more coming up (Diana Ross tomorrow!). I’v

My October set is now a triple header in three different cities in three different countries. Delta in London on the 12th, Gabrielle/Veronica Maggio in Oslo on the 14th and Raye in Berlin on the 18th

Imma need a holiday after to recover from all my jet setting

This turned into a quadruple header with Delta Goodrem again on the 19th in Berlin. The week of chaos started tonight with Delta and it was absolutely f***ing magical. Really really right up there with the MKS Scala gig and there is literally no higher a compliment I could possibly pay than that.

I know this week will start and end on an almighty high and I’m just even more excited now for Oslo and some how even more excited to see Delta for a second time

I booked to see Lotte in December, Leony in May and Pink in June. At this rate by the end of 2023 I will have done more gigs Post Covid than in the 30 years pre-covid

Think that covid helped me to realise what in particular was important to me and why things like live music and these experiences matter so much to me

Also Raye‘s gig was the most unique I have ever been to. It was so different in the best way. Absolutely loved it.

Still not over Delta from last week and I go again tonight and I’m not sure I’ll ever stop floating after Gabrielle.

Went to Rina Sawayama last night and she was pretty incredible *.* not that I thought it would be a bad gig but she definitely exceeded my expectations.

A pretty quiet month but have Clutch/Tigercub and Play Dead/HotWax coming up this week

^ are the names that you don't bold in these posts ones that you didn't see?

Japanese Television are great, I sent one of their songs to BJSC last year! (after discovering them via UNKLE remixing one of their songs).

Japanese Television are great, I sent one of their songs to BJSC last year! (after discovering them via UNKLE remixing one of their songs).

Ah I probably should highlight an explanation. Those in bold are the ones I specifically went to see, but any listed are ones I watched. I quite liked JTV, hadn't seen them before. They reminded me of Ozric Tentacles but more post-punk than psychedelic. Although I would have welcomed some vocals

Ahh right that makes sense then! Well glad you at least partly enjoyed then :D I'm a fan of a lot of instrumental music anyway, not heard of Ozric Tentacles but may have to check them out ~

JTV describe their own sound as 'space surf' although that may or may not just be to allow them to credibly call themselves 'the UK's #1 space surf band', for all the competition in that microgenre.
