Aren't albums only 99p on Google Play for one day though? Might be related but Annie Lennox's daughter's boyfriend has been missing and was apparently found dead today.

I know we've had some bad number ones in the past but this one actually makes me despair for the public. Such shitty, generic music for the masses

Charlie/Meghan sold less than 9k, although likely around 10-11k once the missing streams from Spotify/Apple Music are accounted for. I think it'll sell ~95-98k just missing out on the 100k mark.

I guess it is very likely the single will move up the Radio 1 playlist today and I assume Capital are already loving it, so that could keep it Top 10 if the video isn't released until the week after next. I agree that they're definitely going to get a good run with this, in a similar way to what happened with 'Steal My Girl', although I'm not really interested in the song itself, which is a bit of a shame for the band were getting it right for me with their last two singles and 'Story of My Life'.

Lana Del Rey will probably be Top 60. Last week it took 13k to hit the Top 40 and over 11.6k to hit the Top 50.

Agreed - though probably more likely between 90-95K. They don't appear to be falling very quickly on iTunes and with increasing Spotify streaming they may hang on to #1 next week with a (relatively) small reduction in sales.
