I wonder if there is a slim possibility of The Beatles knocking Elvis off #1 next week as they re-release '1'... (nah they probably won't beat Ellie Goulding but may be top 5 again?)

Has Astral Weeks been heavily discounted somewhere?

No, it's been re-issued with a few bonus tracks (as has His Band & Street Choir lower down the chart) although it is still fairly cheap.

Adele has sold approx. 77.4K downloads (20.5K 'chart sales' from streaming) - I'd guess she is missing around 10K streaming 'chart sales' at the moment, and is selling pretty strongly at approx. 19K/day.

Def Leppard in the top 5, please please stay there. I know it will plummet next week but its years since they had a top 5 album.

Yeah, their last Top 5 album was 'Slang' in 1996 :o it won't be Top 5 come Friday but they should at least get an 8th Top 10 album to their name. I used to be such a massive fan of them, 'Adrenalize' and 'Hysteria' are absolute classics

5SOS down to #18, oops! Elvis currently on track for 69.5k and that's not taking into account the boost he'll get from the TV show tonight. Rod is on track for 57k - the same as his last studio album, Home (57,628).
Is all streaming data there, do you know Liam?
Impressive for Rod, seeing as country isn't a massively popular genre in the UK. His popularity just never declines.

Ah yeah, got missing data from Apple for Tuesday and from Spotify for Monday and Tuesday.

Looks like Ben might miss the top 20 again :( if he does make it he'll just scrape #20. Ugh.

Pia looks safe for top 50 which is great for a song that could have gone either way really. Godele coming for 150K+ in second week :cheer:

I remember 'The Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs' being boosted from the low top 40 in the last midweek update to top 10 in the final chart after the TV special in its first week, so if this has similar effect Elvis could actually get the highest opening sales of the year so far! (Then again this time it'll be Wednesday evening/Thursday sales rather than the weekend sales it was last time so perhaps not quite, but he has a very strong chance of at least beating Muse to the 3rd highest opening of the year).

Ah, not too bad, at least we have the weekend's streams.

I really don't understand why love me like you isn't hitting a higher position, it's at 6 on iTunes, and is being streamed well on Apple Music!
