If you mean me I'm not checking Kworb every minute lol, just interested in the chart battle.

It wasn't you I was referring to. It was the person over streaming Justin just to win a bet.

Over the next week or two or so, if anyone is interested, I'll keep a track of how these songs do so we can see whether they will become big hits after Christmas/gift card! I'll do an update like how pre-order used to be done every evening if anyone wants :)

Big drops for all (bar The Weeknd and Dua Lipa) due to the Christmas songs rising heavily! Selena & Taylor fall the most significantly

If i've missed any from top 150 please tell me :)

I really think the 'gift card' effect will be next to none - The impact declines each year and with paid for sales plummeting I think people will be using their cards to subscribe to streaming so expect JB to be #1 until March
wonder if the Spotify gift card effect will be a thing, if lots of people get subscriptions certain songs could really improve their chart position on streams
Fleur back in the top 10 with green updates all day, fantastic longevity and her only support is from airplay now! Although I think she is on Top of the Pops tomorrow so that will keep her in the top 10 for even longer.

You do realise that Asda advert is still playing on TV right?

Hope Leona manages to go top 40 combined on iTunes. Also hoping that her streams are upweighted appropriately as it's likely "One More Sleep" is going to do really well today on spotify.

Yeh she's making a good late surge at last, expected her to do slightly better if I'm honest. Just saw the video this yr for the first time, it's really good!

Why not it's just on my ipad and macbook on repeat, makes no difference to my life whatsoever thanks for your concern though.

It'll probably mean the streaming % overall goes up to 80% or so and download sales decline again.

Bieber catching by 5% in the past 2 hours!

Combined/weighted

NHS Choir 1.000

Justin Bieber 0.302

Still have a considerable lead on him and should keep him at 0.4-0.5 by the end of tonight despite them falling.

Although the they have had a huge lead over the last few days.

I still don't see how there can be that much in it, Justin was outselling them on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (when streaming and sales were combined).

On Monday he was outselling them on sales, so technically he had roughly a 60% lead over them.

I wonder how much data was missing streaming wise on the updates, if Only Spotify was included in the 7,000 lead then Apple and others could add on another 2,000, even then NHS were trailing Wednesday on sales alone with Justin ahead 600 odd copies plus if streaming data was still missing from Apple 8-9k may need to be added on.

The digital data shows the NHS song having 25k sales in the past 24hrs compared to Justin's 6k!

Not sure how accurate that is tho!

At their peak they were outselling him on iTunes almost 4:1 though and are still outselling him more than 3:1 at the moment. That's not to mention they've been ahead of him on Amazon/Google Play too, which would've further extended their sales lead on him. They closed the gap to ~600 copies on the Wednesday midweek (Friday-Tuesday). Although Bieber would've had another 5-7k from streaming data missing. Then yesterday they created a huge lead on him and today they've had a huge lead over him still despite it decreasing, so would've caught up to him and should be comfortably ahead come tomorrow.

True, Apple data may have been missing though in some of those updates(or all of them).

No doubt NHS have won now, the red updates aren't even taking 1% off justin now.

Praying for a Christmas miracle.

I do feel a bit sorry for those who've bet on Bieber.

I don't. It serves them right, if you're prepared to gamble then you should face the consequences when your gamble doesn't pay off.

We're all assuming streaming makes up for 50% of 'sales' however, last week he sold 47,000 odd outright sales and over 56,000 'streaming sales' so thats well over 60% of the total on streaming. I still think it's a close one (Less than 2/3 thousand between them).

Tomorrow presumably, as today is the last day sales will count toward the christmas chart.

Their publicity of being the Christmas #1 will probably lessen the rate of their fall, but by boxing day they'll probably start freefalling.

Which means that Love Yourself's kworb percentage will increase at the rate of an X Factor winner very rapidly!

How exciting is this! Probably the first time in absolutely ages that chart geeks will be tuning in with no idea how it's going to play out. I love weeks like this and have missed them since joining this site :heehee:
