All I Ask isn't even among the bwst tracks on 25! WWWY is much better, but ok, if people like it!

I know Adele and her label don't really care about the singles but it will be a bit of a mess now if 'All I Ask' is not a single now. And that said, 'When We Were Young' is still high without major promotion!

The situation sort of reminds me of when 'Thinking Out Loud' was consistently above 'Don't' yet the latter was still being lined up to get the single push. I don't see it as being any sort of mess or issue given the scale/nature of the campaign, especially as 'When We Were Young' is yet to impact properly. Also, I'd imagine 'All I Ask' will fall relatively quickly, but then I'm amazed it's doing this well off the back of Carpool Karaoke. :o

Why do The 1975 always get top 20 on iTunes? strange

They've got a big fanbase but they don't get much sales past initial fanbase buys so I imagine the song will fall quickly soon.

didn't expect a band like that would have such a large fanbase

Love All I Ask, listen to it more than When We Were Young but love that too  Great to see it at #3 thats amazing!

Great to see "All I Ask" so high!

I don't think they should switch it to the next single though. "When We Were Young" is being pushed in February (US DJs were sent a February promotional disk for the song) - still yet to be added to a bunch of major radio stations (most notably BBC Radio 1). Not to mention I'm sure "When We Were Young" will benefit hugely from promotion - particularly a BRITS performance.

This is actually

was top 200 two days ago

Impact date is usually after the release date for OA/OS releases. This has been held back for months so it's quite different in that sense :P It's a weird release technique, I imagine it will be huge in time though.

But the thing with this record is that they haven't held it back so that it can build up steam ahead of its release. They just wanted to release it in January because it fits in with their plans for her.

Glad All I Ask has took off. I think its the standout track on the Album for me and thought it would do well if it had a decent exposure or pushed as a single.

Unless she performs it at The Brits I doubt it will stay in the top 10 for long.

Whether or not All I Ask is performed at the Brits in 6 weeks time, I'd say it'd do well to stay top 10 of iTunes for the next few days. If it does, it could be looking at a top 20 chart appearance next week, which would be incredible.

12. Little Mix Feat Jason Derulo - Secret Love Song

15. Ellie Goulding - Army

23. Nathan Sykes & Ariana Grande - Over and Over Again (FFS at this going to re-chart over and over again)

25. Jason Derulo - Get Ugly

27. Charlie Puth - One Call Away :cheer:

55. Kygo Feat Maty Noyes - Stay

76. Zara Larsson - Lush Life

134. Marcus Butler Feat Conor Maynard - I'm Famous [Pre-order]

When We Were Young was top 10 on iTunes for all or most of the week and only managed low top 30 (still good for a non-single at the time) so I'd be shocked if this stayed top 20 with its lack of streaming!

It's a similar strategy to '+1' actually, can see this picking up a lot more that though!

221. Bryson Tiller - Don't

404. Bryson Tiller - Exchange

Bryson Tiller was trending on Twitter earlier after his London show apparently sold out in 0.0000 seconds. Will be a big year for him I'd have thought.

oh pi$$ off capital/global talent flogging 'over and over again' to death ~ nathan sykes is not going to happen no matter how much you spam the little twerp~
Wonder if a 25% lead on downloads will be enough to be no1 when LY has a 200k lead on streams?
