I just previewed that DJ Kenno thing and wish I hadn't.

Football chanting songs are literally the worst songs ever. I'd rather listen to heavy metal.

I do hope the Three Lions song recharts this summer, and I am not even from England. It is like The Pogues and Mariah at Christmas, it keeps returning to the chart anyway every World Cup/Euro year. I dont know what effect streaming will have on it, probably not good :( But it is easily the best football song ever made and I hope it does well this year.

 

Yes as a fan of anything funky house of course I liked the Gala song but the DJ Kenno version is only a bit of lighthearted fun and I do not take offence at it. It might lead to more people appreciating the original too.

Three Lions seems to have more of an effect in the World Cup than the Euro Cup so I doubt it'll go near the top 40 this year, if it even re-charts in the top 100.

Even if you take into account that it wasn't eligible the chart in 2000 or 2004 and that England didn't qualify in 2008, it actually does look like people aren't as bothered with the track when it's not a World Cup! Top 30 every time except 2012. Bit funny considering it was originally released for Euro 96 (what a tournament!)

Can't believe it's Blonde that's produced it, it sounds so much worse and cheaper than their other stuff.

DJ Kenno is not a DJ then? If DJ kenno was a DJ, he wouldn't need blonde to produce his track, and anyway, it didn't need much production anyway if it was basically the same music as Freed From Desire.

Its basically the same melody as Freed From Desire, and that was quite catchy so unless they chopped it up into bits and made it into the sort of mess Kiiara - Gold is, it would remain catchy.
