May 29, 20169 yr Martine McCutcheon teas  Some good tunes there so far- Control Myself, Wearing My Rolex, Unorthodox, Wavin' Flag, Mama Do The Hump etc.
May 29, 20169 yr Will Young's You & I way too low. Thats the only thing I care about so far - good result!
May 29, 20169 yr Wavin' Flag is an anthem of international good feeling and certainly the best football-related song there is, sad to see it so low but it's always been underappreciated here I think.
May 30, 20169 yr Natalie La Rose must be one of the most recent releases to come in outside the top 200, right? Apart from the dance-remakes Felix Jaehn and Fast Car Edited May 30, 20169 yr by 360Jupiter
May 30, 20169 yr The best song gone so far is Donell Jones 'you know what's up' !! Yes, thats a tune!
May 30, 20169 yr Kinda sad to see those Manics singles so low, but it's not that surprising since they are taken from what is considered by some to be their worst album (Even the band themselves have disowned it, but imo it's severely underrated).

It would take another 4 years for them to finally get a #1. The girlband have always had a big fanbase on Buzzjack but this song has never been a big fan favourite and so unsurprisingly gets an average score. The Wanted had another #2 single after their big #1 'Glad You Came', which ultimately was another average song for them and got forgotten quickly. Plain White T's had a massive single but were barely heard from since, which was probably for the best (though I find the song tolerable, it got annoying when it was overplayed at the time). Scooter :music: 'The Logical Song' is a serious banger and it's a shame it's under-appreciated here outside of the dance fanbase. Also weeping for people's ears @ Flo Rida finishing so low (:basil:) in this  Robbie Williams had a fairly decent song in 'Tripping'. It finishes as his 2nd highest of his entries. Also here is the first of four entries for S Club, James Bay's huge hit, A1 (whooooooooooo) and Mr Hudson (anyone remember him?).

Jodie Aysha - Heartbroken 5.93 190 Sean Paul – She Doesn’t Mind Sean Paul proved he could still be relevant years after he first became popular surprising everyone by getting a big #2 hit with 'She Doesn't Mind' which is quite a tune~ A few places up Sean pops his head in again with the older 'We Be Burnin'. T2 brought garage back to the chart with the multi-week #2 'Heartbroken' which really should be higher. I'm still not sure how that White Stripes song was a #2, not a fan of it. Not keen on the D12 or N Sync songs here either. Calvin has his first of multiple entries and of course I love this one, very fun song  Also we see Sash with the last of their #2s and the only one in the 2000s. The Libertines with a song great for its genre and Jason Derulo with an average song for its genre also make appearances.

This wasn't the case for Atomic Kitten though as they kept going for another few years. It is goodbye to them in this countdown though as it was their only #2 hit. Daniel Powter had one of the biggest #2s of the 2010s with 'Bad Day' and is probably more remembered than most of the #1s of that year. Although this is Buzzjack which was never going to score a male MoR pop song that highly. Michael Jackson had a lot of great songs. 'You Rock My World' wasn't one of them however and unsurprisingly drops out in the lower half of the rundown. His other #2 could appear much higher though. Aloe Blacc even before the life-changing 'Wake Me Up' had a certain level of popularity largely thanks to his #2 'I Need A Dollar' which still remains his biggest solo single despite getting a #1 later on with 'The Man'. Mario had a big song with 'Let Me Love You' in 2005 which was unlucky to miss #1 by the Comic Relief single that year. It's very good for a mid 00s urban jam actually~ Rihanna's most recent megahit (as the lead artist) got quite a mixed reaction both here and in real life and it seems its dislike slightly outweighs its love here as it misses the top 150. :( Should be higher. H 'Two' O finishes 15 places higher than T2 to be the Buzzjack favourite of the mid 00s garage #2s. Shayne Ward, 1D and The Sats finish the section with blegh songs.
May 30, 20169 yr the 'bassline duo' (H Two O & T2) still need more love on buzzjack the likes of Let's Go, Low and Work deserve their low finishes here though

Labrinth – Frisky 6.16 169 Razorlight - Somewhere Else 6.15 170 U2 - Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of U2 are here again with some forgettable song. Oasis also appear with two songs that I can't recall. Razorlight had some of the best songs of the indie landfill era. 'Somewhere Else' was one of them and it appears here, quite a tune. Tinie Tempah followed up 'Pass Out' with the also-amazing 'Frisky', which to my annoyance missed #1 because of the Shout record -_- It's quite underrated for him too. Progressive house music legend Eric Prydz made a kool remix of a Pink Floyd classic and nearly brought the song to #1 again. It's not his best though and he's still got another song higher up. Just Jack had a hit referencing 'Stars In Their Eyes' even though he was a bit late to the reference - the show had finished before the song was released. Good for him though, not a bad song. The Script had a very big #2 with their breakthrough 'The Man Who..' which isn't all that special but an okay song. Glad it's not too high though. Jay-Z and Beyoncé teamed up for 2003 hit referencing Bonnie and Clyde. They've done better. Jessie J broke through with 'Do It Like A Dude', which was, well, quite interesting for a big hit single. I quite liked it too, though she would go on to greater things (Domino!) 50 Cent had a great song in 'Ayo Technology' which I'm sure would be higher if it weren't for the anti-urban bias. If it weren't for 'In da Club' it would be his best song by a fair margin (though 'Candy Shop' is great also).
May 30, 20169 yr If 'When I Was Your Man' was sang by a female BJ would've lapped it up. This argument is so condescending and boring. Like I have heard it a million times on this forum. It's just not a good song, if Adele or Christina Perri had released it, I still wouldn't have liked it because it's just not a good song.

It's the better song too so good to see it higher than 'Control Myself'. DJ Sammy decided covering one 80s song in 'Heaven' wasn't enough and went on to cover 'The Boys Of Summer'. It was done quite well though and lands a respectable position in the rundown. Calvin Harris got another #2 with Example back when it seemed he was destined to get #2s forever. 'We'll Be Coming Back' isn't his strongest work and in such a strong discography is quite forgotten these days. Both of the S Clubs appear here. Neither of them with a good song though oops. Ellie Goulding took a lovely cover of 'Your Song' to #2 from featuring on the John Lewis advert (being unjustly denied the #1 too thanks to the X Factor Finalists). This was the first big turning point in her career though so it was a success in that regard. Ed Sheeran got a remix from Rudimental which didn't actually change the song much, but the drum n' bass feel of the new version gave it a #2 peak so well done to him. X-Press 2 had a lovely chill dance song in 'Lazy' which was their only hit. It sadly finishes just a few places outside the top half of the rundown. Passenger got a million-selling single with 'Let It Go' but not everyone on Buzzjack was onboard. It gets a middling position which was probably to be expected from its mixed reaction. Bomfunk MC's really deserve better, now that is a proper banger and unlike any other song in this rundown. So close to making the top 150 too.
May 31, 20169 yr That thumbnail for 'Do It Like A Dude' is almost as "good" as the one for 'Flashlight' :') 'Lazy' is a fave <3 Hopefully there's enough good songs left in the top half after seeing how many appeared in the bottom half!
May 31, 20169 yr I'm still not sure how that White Stripes song was a #2, not a fan of it. Not keen on the D12 or N Sync songs here either. It had a huge boost from sales on 7-inch (nearly 15,000 were on that format out of the 27.8k it sold the week it was at #2) but you're right - they definitely had some far superior singles from their previous albums.
