Now Kungs need to pick up a huge lead and do well on Spotify, if they are going to overcome Drake, but I still think Drake will increase his lead as the week goes on.
 398. Låpsley - Falling Short. :)

Out of interest, what would tracks lingering in the 300s, or even the thousands, be selling?

there was an experiment done on buzzjack not long ago where we got Lisa Scott Lee's 'Electric' to #1006 (and I think about 20-30 of us bought it) so I guess that gives some idea.

can't imagine a song in the 300s is selling much more than 100 copies per day.

Drakes only on 23k in the first mids with Kungs down at 16k so drake is Def falling in overall sales so if Kungs goes top 3 in streams he should get to no1, hopefully next week!

On Digital Sales Data when you double a chart position outside the very upper reaches then the sales are less than half so for example as the number 100 record typically sells 250 copies then 120 would be enough to penetrate the top 200. For the 300s as Hassann asks then I imagine anywhere from 60-75 copies would do it and to enter the top 1500 you would only need 15 copies at the most!

I also like the idea of the experiment, something that needs to be tried again at some point.

Here's the link for the thread for the Electric campaign if you've not read it.

Surely anything's better than Drake being at number one for another 7 weeks :P
Ergh. That Kungs song needs to be stopped asap.

Finally someone who agrees with me....

I have had enough of these pan-European tropical house hits. The only one I liked was the first one Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love because that was the first and it was fresh and different at the time. But now the format is stale.

 57. Charlie Puth feat. Selena Gomez - We Don't Talk Anymore :cheer: already showing good signs of a hit considering no music video or AirPlay as of yet :cheer:
Capital have been playing 'We Don't Talk Anymore'. I heard it the other day. As to how often, I don't know. But it's getting some airplay, at least :heehee:

Not on Radio 1 or Capital! Think Kiss have playlisted it though, if I remember correctly. Doing pretty well indeed so far :cheer:

I agree, I really hate the "chilled" sort of house with these tropical guitar instrumentals, like Waves, Prayer In C, Are You With Me, this, they're so vapid and tedious.

Good to seer Gold making good progress - a dead cert top 40 next week by the looks of it then?

And Kungs pulling away! Surely that'll be the song that gets to number one the week after next - I can see Drake getting a 9th and 10th week at the top before Kungs gets there. I just hope that Major Lazer and MO and Justin Bieber don't release to stop This Girl from getting to the top.
