September 5, 20169 yr Hope Offaiah can stay in the top 40 by Friday Edited September 5, 20169 yr by Hadji

September 5, 20169 yr oh Jamie T doing well then :cheer: chance he might even keep #2? either way it's looking good for a Top 5 finish!
September 5, 20169 yr Sales added. Eek, even an influx of new entries can't help album sales! Yes another dire week but top 2 should at least break 10k. Ward Thomas had been doing well with their Pre-orders but for a lot of people it is a case of "who are they?". I guess country music doesn't get much exposure on UK radio but there is a fanbase out there.
September 5, 20169 yr it would be amazing if offaiah, MATOMA & cash cash + digital farm animals finally made the top40 this week! :cheer: alas i fear missing data streaming, more than the usual day in arrears, will scupper that on Friday :( woah @ the album chart with all those new entries ~ the album and singles charts are polar opposites for chart stability and turnover~
September 5, 20169 yr Would love Ward Thomas to grab a number one album! *.* glad Sophie is doing respectably at the moment too.
September 5, 20169 yr I know there's a lot of new entries, but good lord at 2-36 for the Britney album :o Surely a record drop assured there, if only it had gone one higher, we'd have had the possibility of a number 1 dropping straight out of the top 40!

September 5, 20169 yr Had no idea the Wretch album had finally been released! That's seemingly a year overdue now...
September 5, 20169 yr I wanted the Carpenters to be #1! I still think they will get a huge boost - The TV special wasn't shown until late on Saturday night, prior to the show it was doing nothing on iTunes or Amazon - It's now Top 10 on iTunes and #3 on Amazon.
September 5, 20169 yr I wonder can Olly Murs get a new peak this week, i really hope he can go top 15 at the least. After Sophie Ellis Bextors last album doing far far better than anyone expected i expected this album to be higher, i hope she can stay top 10. Ouch at that Britney drop, she could well fall out of the top 40 now, her number 2 position last week was clearly a fan purchase buy only position. Seeing Britneys album perform this way makes me appreciate Kylie's Kiss me Once performance even though it was disappointing. In terms of females such as Madonna, Britney and Kylie, Kylie;s last 2 albums have done very well especially her Chrstmas album which managed over 100,000.
September 5, 20169 yr Would love Ward Thomas to grab a number one album! *.* glad Sophie is doing respectably at the moment too.I've just listened to the Ward Thomas album on Spotify - and surprisingly enjoyed it. While it's not the usual music I'd listen to, I think it's a good album. In fact, I hope it stays at number 1 until Friday though it's probably unlikely.
September 5, 20169 yr Even I think the current Ward Thomas single is alright, although I've been annoyed by some of their previous stuff.
September 6, 20169 yr Even I think the current Ward Thomas single is alright, although I've been annoyed by some of their previous stuff. I kind of agree with this sentiment, except that I find their current single, "Guilty Flowers" to be annoying. I much preferred their previous track, "Carry You Home". Ward Thomas seem to be right at the pop edge of country music, which likely explains the success of this album.
