Little Mix are crazy not to release on Friday and take whatever sales/streams they can and X Factor performance can only boost their position.

The Sunday release would have been questionable at the best of times but when hardly anyone is watching X Factor it seems even more strange.

Well generally speaking its ratings are up from last year.... :kink: It still gets great viewing figures even if it's not at its peak anymore.

The Sunday release is very confusing though, not sure what they were thinking. Although I'd be more annoyed if songs still peaked on week 1, thankfully they don't now.

Wow, I didn't know that we ALL had to be pro Little Mix on this forum, say one thing about them and then your post gets deleted..........

The post added absolutely no value to the thread. You can have an opinion if you're diplomatic, but out and out trolly posts just to get a rise out of people are just pointless. It's not personal, anyone who posts things like that about any artist will be deleted.

And I'll leave it there.

My comment definitely was not to get a rise out of anyone and couldn't do that anyway (unless if Little Mix themselves read this forum). Not everyone's opinions can be the same which is the whole point of a forum.

And really what is so offensive about what I said anyway?

It was an obvious troll, of course there are many people excited for new Little Mix. It's not hard to see why. If you have an issue with a mod's decision, please PM one of us rather than making a scene here.
Alright, I apologise for not being excited for new music from Little Mix and it certainly was not meant in a trolly way. It was just a freedom of expression that was not received well and once again I am sorry and will not speak of Little Mix for the foreseeable.

a normal Fri release would have been perfect, cos usually newies start dropping on itunes by Sunday, then an xf performance would stop the decline/stabilize them again... guess they're not expecting to peak on week 1, but still some do (i.e. Katy Perry - Rise, 5 Seconds of Summer - Girl Talk, probably Gaga)... plus it kills all their chances of a #1

a bit like Niall releasing on Thu, didn't get that either...

Now this is a song that I'd like to see performed on The X Factor at some point this year!

Yep. My thoughts exactly. Try as you might. It's impossible to understand why the music industry do certain things.

Yes mate! One of the most influential records this year for sure.

I don't think sales in the UK will decrease much more than they have, probably just a very slow and slight decline.

They've dropped around 20% consistently year-on-year, and for 165 consecutive weeks....

Paid-for sales are down 0.15% week-on-week at 1,583,250 – 20.01% below same week 2015 sales of 1,979,420 and below same-week, previous-year sales for the 165th week in a row.

What makes you confident that they won't decrease much more than they have all of a sudden?

Honey G will slay Controlla.

Honey G to perform 'Controlla' with a Motown twist this week tbh.

Maybe they're using Little Mix to promote X-Factor, not using X-Factor to promote Little Mix.
