Nick Jonas feat. Anne-Marie & Mike Posner – Remember I Told You

The Weeknd – Rockin'

Jax Jones feat. Demi Lovato & Stefflon Don – Instruction

Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan – There For You

Hailee Steinfeld – Most Girls

NEIKED feat. MIMI – Call Me

RAYE – The Line

Fifth Harmony feat. Gucci Mane – Down

HAIM – Want You Back

JO Cooper – Passport Home

Which ones do you think could be future hits and which will flop? :o

Jax Jones, Neiked, & Martin could make Top 40 I think. There For You already has decent streaming so just needs the sales to back it up.

The Weeknd, JP Cooper, & Fifth Harmony don't have much chance of charting higher than they already have. Rockin's video came out months ago and the song has been out much longer, if there's any chance of that charting again it needs some serious promotion (and even then I'm not sure if it'd even be worth it). Down was deemed as utter crap by almost everyone everywhere and was a much weaker version of Work From Home, no chance in my opinion.

The others are hard to tell at this point. Nick Jonas will get a bit of a boost from this album (both from track list announcement and release) and hopefully will get a R1 add soon. It could easily take off as it's a great song featuring two artists who have had UK #1s in the last 18 months, just needs a bit of promotion to help it on its way.

Now 97 Omissions

Liam Gallagher – Wall Of Glass

Imagine Dragons – Thunder

Paramore – Hard Times

Rock music getting snubbed as usual

Edited by Hadji

It's not an incredible tracklist and there are a few glaring omissions (know no better, attention and thunder come to mind apart from the obvious two) but there are no dreadful songs on it which the last volume had a few of

My only shock is Shape of You not appearing. Bit cheeky to make us have Castle... on NOW 96 and not have the decent one appear next. I just wanted Gaga, Miley, and Little Mix to appear. There's some amazing songs on it. Not as good as NOW 94, but still great!

Just noticed ZAYN isn't on there! Shame, I really enjoy Still Got Time.

I'm a bit surprised that Future is on this, I didn't think he would fit the usual criteria for these kind of albums. I'm also surprised that there is no song from Ed Sheeran on the track list.

Maybe Ed is copying Rihanna, Adele, Drake and Taylor by not allowing his songs onto NOW. I much preferred it when EMI were in charge as they never had a problem with getting the rights for artists. It's a case of since Sony's took over, its all gone tits up

Here's the tracklist to Germany's new Bravo Hits 98 for comparisons sake...curiously Ed licensed Galway Girl for that  Shape Of You has appeared nowhere yet aside from his own album.

Looks like George Ezra might have been up for grabs if NOW wanted it, but they obviously don't have faith in it going any higher than it already has, which is fair enough!

Interesting that Ed is only licensing Castle On The Hill everywhere at the moment...I presume he'll start to allow Shape Of You for the summer wave of compilations, including Now 97, once it's well away from No.1.

If only that was the case Rich.

Many established artists are getting very funny about sharing their music through compilations. It never used to be the way but I think the first notable artist to have done this was Taylor Swift (who also st the time had her entire music library famously removed from Spotify). It doesn't really show much respect for fans who patiently wait for their stars to appear on the next issue of a compilation album, even if they have been streaming the songs for many weeks and months beforehand. It just seems to be all about the profit margins than the ability to make and share good music.

With Ed Sheeran possibly being the latest artist to implement this ignorant decision, its only likely that others will follow and then someday the main volumes won't be getting any Justin Bieber, DJ Khaled, Ariana Grande or others. The slogan will inevitably have to remove however many #1 singles there are as they will become less and less as further restrictions come into place.

Overall, it will sum up what we all have feared for a long time... compilation CD's are over.

RIP.

I know like four of those songs. Is it time for me to stop?

They can be bothered to put Major Lazer on every one of their spin-offs yet they couldn't be bothered to include KNB on 97. As for Olly Murs, I'm shocked they included him considering he had two songs which they could've used for 96 but didn't use him at all for that

I wonder if 'Shape of you' isn't on any compilations because he had to add writing credits for the songwriters of TLC 'No scrubs' because of similarities.

If not that, its strange its yet to appear on a compilation seeing as its been massive.

Why do so many criticise you on Buzzjack, you are just passionate about your chosen subject, and I say that's great! :D

A question, Hadji, are you a big fan of Major Lazer then, and is that why you wanted to see their track there?

They did amazingly well with the tracklist tbh! I'm very impressed with it.

Selfish reasons, I'm really not bothered about the Ed omissions. Although it does strike me as quite a pretentious thing to not let Now have any other songs for their album. I'd say apart from Ed's omissions the Charlie Puth exclusion is the only one that seems a bit of a random one not to feature. :(

Because the Major Lazer track seems to be doing well and they always seem to be all over Major Lazer on the albums hence why songs of theirs such as "Lean On" and "Light It Up" are appearing on nearly all their spin-offs. Saying that, let's hope that KNB gets an appearance on 98

No. If I like a song but it but it didn't do well, I'd expect it not to be on there but if it is, then it's a bonus

I wish you talked more about the songs you do like on Buzzjack. :)

However, you are doing a great job, don't worry about any criticism on here because I think you are a great poster! Really nice to see someone with a passion for something, in your case it is Now albums. I wonder have you worked for Now in the past or a record company and that's where your interest started.....

No I haven't but if I did, i'd be doing a very good job at compiling the albums

This was on the recent 'Buzzjacker's Bedrooms' thread in the Lounge where we try and guess what is in each Buzzjacker's bedroom!

Hadji's definitely has a dartboard with Jenny Fisher's face on it

I have to ask you do you have this in your bedroom?

Haha no. Maybe Richard Branson or Ashley Abram does
