With "Careless Whisper" at #10 on iTunes and #15 on Spotify, I wonder if the streaming ratio change from next week will help him to go top 10 officially

It's top 5 combined on Spotify :

There're two versions of Careless Whisper in the top fourty, as you can see here...

15 - Careless Whisper by George Michael ( 160,106 )

87 - Careless Whisper by George Michael ( 58,009 )

If we combine the totals we'll see he's got 218,115 streams which means Careless Whisper is actually #5 overall today - just over a thousand streams behind James Arthur at #4.

Louisa's song must have sold quite well by now? It's been hanging around the top 20 for a good two months now
Louisa's song is excellent....best two non winners song debut songs by an X factor winner/runner up ever imo with Tears and So Good.

George Michael:

18. Faith

35. A Different Corner

36. Freedom! 90

47. As

48. Fastlove

49. I Can't Make You Love Me

50. I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)

53. Outside

59. Jesus To A Child

62. Father Figure

68. Praying For Time

78. Amazing

Wham!

38. Club Tropicana

39 & 99. I'm Your Man

58. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go

61. Last Christmas

Just reading the lyrics to Careless Whisper there on Smash Hits 80s on Twitter - bloody Brillant - and he apparently wrote it when he was only 17?!

Where are all the Xmas tracks combined now and Last Christmas?

I'm really eager to see Louisa reach a new peak, I sort of accepted about 2/3 weeks ago that its chance had passed... maybe it IS this year's 'Love Me Like You' after all. :o

32. Scars to Your Beautiful - Alessia Cara

I really hope this becomes a decent sized hit in the new year. Such a lovely song

Oooh, I had no idea. :o I'd love that too!

Watch Louisa peak at 11 on Friday now too. :(

George Michael back up to #11 and James Arthur back down to #12 :cheer:
So Good should definitely go top 10, but I think the boundary for a really successful hit has shifted a bit, especially with longevity factored in. If Alexandra Burke or Little Mix got to #11 with their first "proper" singles it'd have been seen as a bit of a flop but for Louisa it's been great and she's stuck around really nicely. I hope it does go top 10, that and Tears are easily my fave XF "proper" debut singles since Alexandra with Bad Boys and Broken Heels (and I probably prefer both of these to Broken Heels as well).

Yes!!! I've had everything crossed for her to re-climb after Christmas so this is thrilling to see! Although now I wish Radio 1 was doing a proper chart show on Friday, to hear that as well as possibly Wham and George Michael.

Even if Louisa stays top 5 for the rest of the week I don't think she will go top 10 :(

Maybe 11? Either way it's going to be a big jump as it's at #25 this week
