March 10, 20178 yr I really like this. I always thought after x factor they would make her into this middle of the road artist with ballads for mothers day and christmas, but I like this route for her! The ballad route on XF was to get the audience to vote her to win. Her Billie Jean performance was my favourite but it was her weakest vote-wise (IIRC) and it was her only up-tempo. -x- I should add I'm loving this. Great choice for follow-up single! March 10, 20178 yr I'm liking this after first listen. I feel like it's quite laidback, contemporary and the sort of music she should be making without being too try hard like "So Good" was at times. That said, I don't know if it's big enough for people to buy into. "Tears" was an obvious smash, "So Good" was quite instant but I think this is a bit more of a slow burner. Hope it does well though.

March 11, 20178 yr Not moving from #19 on iTunes - if this doesn't get a move on it'll miss the Top 40 this week, just hope she has some great promo etc., lined up as we all know Syco will think nothing of dropping her and by their standards she has yet to produce a huge hit for the Syco label.
March 11, 20178 yr Well she's the most successful winner since James Arthur already (and I'd argue So Good was bigger or at least more enduring than his proper debut hit despite a lower peak), and this is without putting her album out yet. If this misses the top 40 in week 1, it is not the end of the world, she can still climb in later and we know she'll get Radio 1 support before long. Way too early to jump to conclusions!

March 11, 20178 yr Admittedly the vocals could be pretty much anyone but this song is great! Way more instant than 'So Good' ever was. Although all her singles sound nothing alike so I'm failing to really 'get' her identity. I guess she's just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. This is the best of her solo material so far anyway, I hope it doesn't flop!
