My computer skills are rather limited so it's taken me hours to work out how to put that flag on a post but I've finally managed it. I'm looking forward to making my debut and listening to all your entries. I've changed my mind on which song to submit a few times but I think I've found one that is very different from what you might normally have in the contest but I hope some of you will like it.

BJSC 94 - Steven Wilson - Routine

 

Rolloland are proud to present their debut entry. I don't know how much prog rock has been represented in the contest before,probably not much,but you've got some now. Steven Wilson was lead singer with the band Porcupine Tree from 1987 to 2010. Routine is taken from his fourth solo album Hand Cannot Erase which won the album of the year award at the 2015 Progressive Music Awards. The song also features vocals from Ninet Tayeb. The stunning video may bring a tear to your eye so have a box of tissues ready. I've put a link to youtube as the video really needs to be seen in full screen to be fully appreciated.

This is an absolutely stunning debut, I haven't listened to any of Steven Wilson's stuff before (aside from a feature on a Pendulum track) but I had a feeling I might like him, this certainly didn't disappoint! One of my favourite debut BJSC entries ever. :heart: The video is pretty heavy but fits the song perfectly.

 

May have to check out the rest of this album if this is anything to go by!

I didn't notice at first, but I've actually come across this artist before when looking for potential entries! It was his song,

, was a srsly stunning experience.

 

Have had a listen/watch to this and it's also sounding similarly beautiful :heart: I can't help it in the semi I'm afraid, but I'll be rooting for it to qualify for sure.

I'm fairly new to him myself. My friends on the Marillion forum were going on about how good his 'Hand Cannot Erase' album was so I bought it. The other track on there with a video is Perfect Life which is also a gorgeous song. I still haven't got round to listening to his other albums yet.
