25th Who You Love (Ft John Mayer)

Welcome to Round 2 of Least fave Katy Perry single, and seems as though the first round was a double elimination we lose 2 songs for this round. First being 'Who You Love' which received by far the highest amount of votes with a whopping 24, more than half the amount of any of the other songs. This comes to no surprise whatsoever considering that it stands as Katy Perry's least known song, even some of the voters on here have never even heard this, but yes this was a single back in 2013 and was featured on John Mayer's 6th album 'Paradise Valley' and reached #48 on the US Billboard charts and didn't get released in the UK at all, which is probably why nobody knows it and the fact that John Mayer isn't famous over here also probably adds to it. As for the song itself well to be honest I find it rather cringeworthy, it stays in one mode throughout and doesn't build to anything, even her vocals which should have been a highlight on this were very minimal and passive as if she's going through the motions, I know that the song is supposed to be slow and romantic, I just find it personally rather boring and glad that it's out first.

24th Rise

Now we have the other song to lose it's place in this competition, 'Rise' which received the 2nd highest amount of votes with 13, and again this comes as no surprise, as this is another awful song by Katy Perry,, while the other song was a collaboration with a country artist, she kinda got away with it, but this is one of her solo songs, so there's no excuse, her first single in 2 years and what a disappointment from a supposed comeback single and especially with all the talent involved, this should have been great and she's done these inspirational anthems before with songs like 'Firework' & 'Roar', and those songs were great, but what the hell happened with this, for a start it does very little to inspire anyone and even the lyrics quickly fall into predictable clichés. While the beat is somewhat interesting with a mid-tempo R&B track with a foreboding trap beat, it just doesn't work at all here and considering it's supposed to be for the Olympics, there's just nothing here to get the hype going. So yeah this definitely ain't one of Katy Perry's finest moments and she is capable of much, much better.

I've voted for 'This Is How We Do'. It will get a bit more difficult but losing 'Birthday', Unconditionally or E.T will not be a massive loss.

Also 'Thinking of You' leading and set to leave before the likes of 'Basic of Me', 'Basicday', 'Basic Friday Night' etc... is a travesty tbh. If it was for their videos, nobody would care for them tbh. (Although I think a lot of people consider 'Birthday' as a tour highlight! So I may let them off for that one :kink:)

Thinking Of You - I've tried to get into it after the Buzzjack lot have praised it but it's still a step below the rest of the singles for me. After that it gets tough!
