September 11, 20178 yr Those sales for The National are pretty impressive actually, I think total sales will be around 23k by the end of the week, they are not going to increase by that much now.
September 11, 20178 yr That Logic song is going to be huge isn't it? Will end up one of the year's big sellers I reckon, gives me 'See You Again' vibes.
September 11, 20178 yr Gwan The National heading for a #1 album *. not too bad sales either ~ also good to see Nothing But Thieves doing so well, hope they might be able to hold onto #2.
September 11, 20178 yr That Logic song is going to be huge isn't it? Will end up one of the year's big sellers I reckon, gives me 'See You Again' vibes. It doesn't have time to do that any more sadly, maybe 400k by January but that doesn't take into YE top 20 Edited September 11, 20178 yr by SKOB
September 11, 20178 yr It doesn't have time to do that any more sadly, maybe 400k by January but that doesn't take into YE top 20 Or, more realistically, it'll end up about where 'Black Beatles' ended up on the 2016 EOY. Although I remember 'Hotline Bing' snuck in at #40 in 2015 and that was one of the defining hits of the year.
September 11, 20178 yr Does Kelly Clarkson have a chance at top 40 with "Piece by Piece"? Would assume it's going to drop like a rock thanks to streaming come friday. Her new song "Love So Soft" may miss the top 75 or even top 100 given it's doing nothing on streaming.
September 11, 20178 yr Amazing for The National and Tori Amos Had both albums on repeat since Friday But you can't have both on repeat since Friday, only one or the other :o ;)
September 11, 20178 yr Instruction going 17 to out of the Top 40 though :( Feels like it hasn't stuck around long enough really imo. Annoying. After Imagine Dragons Thunder another example of a non mega hit being affected by the new rules!
September 11, 20178 yr Jack Johson could one time sell millions and is now struggling for a top 30 album, it is disappointing as he remains making good music. On the reverse its good to see Jack Savoretti Sleep No More new version doing ok, it is a wonderful album. Poor performance for Jake Bugg on its 2nd week, he may struggle to stay top 75 with the rate he is falling. While it is good to see Rag N Bone Man on track to achieve a 3rd top 100 hit but the chart places for Nadine and U2 are bitterly disappointing. Edited September 11, 20178 yr by pippa
September 11, 20178 yr Not really huge on rap tracks too much but Logics track is one of those that's an exception, obviously the meaning etc & the vma performance really showcased it beautifully but even if it wasn't about suicide prevention I'd still probably like it. Hope it can go top 20 or even top 15, Friday! Also PBP to hold top 40 too
September 12, 20178 yr But you can't have both on repeat since Friday, only one or the other :o ;) Technically you could if you were playing them on two different devices :P
September 12, 20178 yr Looks like I'm not the only one who'd kind of forgotten Jack Johnson existed. Me too, quite baffling to see his name in chart topic
September 12, 20178 yr Technically you could if you were playing them on two different devices :P Touché :P
