Hello and welcome to the fifth edition of the Artist Forum Song Contest! This will take place here in the Taylor Swift forum, as one of the new forums that get to showcase the best of their acts' live talents!

 

This contest of course consists of the best live versions of artists' re-interpretations of other artists' songs, whether this is an on tour fave, a talent show performance, a Live Lounge cover or a TV special performance. The only rule was that the song could not be released in studio form. 22 of our artist forums have submitted an entry to this with covers of all sorts of artists from Edith Piaf to Wheatus to En Vogue to Hurts. But what is the ultimate cover?

 

RULES:

1) Listen to all the songs below.

2) Rank your top 10 using the standard Eurovision scoring system, 12 for your favourite, 10 for your 2nd favourite, 8 for your 3rd and then 7 down to 1 points for the rest of your top 10. You must vote in full, for 10 songs, otherwise your vote won't be counted, so no voting for just your fave or just your few faves and leaving :kink:

3) PM this ranking to me (Liam).

4) You have until 4th October, which should be plenty of time!

5) ANYONE can vote, you don't have to be an AF mod or even an AF regular, if you happen to see this and want to vote, go ahead!

There'll be a plug sesh if wanted at some point but as I'm going back to uni on Friday it would ideally have to be before then! Tuesday or Wednesday would ideally be best for me. Otherwise someone else is gonna have to do one next week.

I am guessing for you Darius' iconic Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me A Mercedes Benz cover is the exception!

I realise there is no longer a Will Young forum but as Darius has been included why is there no Will Young contribution or as a former mod should I have suggested a live performance ? :unsure: His reworking of Hey Ya or Dontcha in the Live Lounge would knock spots off most of those listed.

It was up to each mod to do that really, the Darius bunch asked if they could be included amidst the fuss and furore.

I'm gonna extend this for a few days because th turnout is quite frankly ridiculous :lol:
