Niall Horan is continuing to move in the right direction. I hope it remains steady all week and avoids dropping too much.
The new Niall Horan song is superb, his best yet. It would be great if he can achieve a 3rd top 10 hit. He is the big surprise from One Direction solo careers. This type of song has the potential to be a sleeper hit that will attract decent sales over time.

None of the members of 1D seems to be showing much signs of having a long successful career like Robbie Williams or JT or even signs of their initial success with smash hit singles. Im surprised their hits so far have had average enough success with no smash hit which people would actually remember (I had to think for a few seconds what the name of Zayns/Harrys first single was). The way they are going they will probably fade away in terms of success in a few years. Particularly Harry who seemed to have the most potential in terms of a big career had a fairly big single (not massive hit) then really faded away with no more hits from the first album, same with Zayn . I thought they would have at least a massive smash hit. Its all a bit underwhelming.

I can't at a U2 remix going top 100 while Lorde's remix is stalling outside it. :'(

(it's top 30 in the USA though and I guess the purpose of it is to try and help it become a hit there so yay I guess ~)

That Kamaliya Funk Device remix (this time of Wild Child) is once again rather good, I much prefer it to some dance songs in the charts at the minute especially the more boring imo watered down dance like Sun Comes Up. It's the sort of style I would expect from a September (of Cry For You fame) album track c. 2008.

Interestingly on spotify the Funk Device remix of Wild Child is also credited to 'Micky Modelle DJ' who doesn't have any other tracks on spotify (although 'Micky Modelle' has like the 2006 classic Dancing In the Dark with Jessy he is most famous for). It would suggest Micky Modelle is part of Funk Device or the remix/the remix samples one of his songs or they wouldn't be able to credit his name!

Hold up... just realised that Hot Songs is no more.

Joe mentioned that it's called Today's Hits but it's literally the top 20 in the exact order.

The U2 Kygo remix is not good imo, (especially the chopped vocals bit).

Oh ffs why, what's the point?

To be fair, Robbie didn't seem like he was going to have a successful career for at least two years after leaving Take That - 'Freedom' did OK as a debut solo track (#2) but then came a series of less-remembered songs that charted lower and fell quickly. It wasn't until Angels arrived that he had a properly massive smash, and even then had to wait another year until Millennium brought him his first #1.

Think 2018 will surely give at least one of them something genuinely colossal.

Finally  New material from Labrinth :yahoo:

Still waiting for this elusive album <_<

Nice to see P!nk still holding up, hoping if she has an xf performance it may finally be within shot of no.1, as I still have a hunch she will eventually get there. Sam Smith looking safe for a second week at no.1.

X-factor performance + 59p would give P!nk a really good shot at #1.

I'm hoping the little bit of Praying will give it a miraculous surge up the chart.

I think by the time XF live shows begin, Pink would've moved on to single #2.
