I know it's easy for me to say that when I'm through this time but I have DNQed as recently as this year with an entry I loved that was nearly topping odds. You provided one of my favourite entries this year in 'Tension' and I would have been gutted to have never discovered that. I don't think I would give up as such as in not entering it but just sending obvious DNQs or not really putting as much effort into finding and choosing tracks! But no I have reconsidered, I want to continue to provide in my mind high quality tracks, even if they don't do that well.

Yeah I completely echo this even if there's only ONE person who loves your entry it was still worth it as it's probable they may have never ever discovered your entry through other means.
