Very excited for this! :cheer: semi 1 seemed perfect for 'the nature of dying' so fingers crossed that I can just sit back and relax. Hope a good chunk of my faves make it too.

:cheer:

I don't know what to expect for 'I Can't Escape'...Rich predicted I will Q so let's hope that turns out to be true

Coming to DNQ so like in TBO I am cheering on Klum Rep as if it were my own ^_^

I'm glad you're a fan  Have you checked out anything else by Gang of Youths? Radio 1/the UK would be all over them if they got more exposure I think!

Haven't heard any of semi one yet but my support is going to Ojnoj - really great pop!

Nope, but I will try to remember to do that at some point! I agree they sound like the kind of band R1 would latch onto immediately if they were pushed over here. Massive standout in the semi for me, probably my favourite indie rock entry in BJSC for years, but I am a little worried it could be a borderline one. (My other biggest fave in this semi has pretty much zero chance of qualifying lol)

Good evening everyone and welcome to Estadjo Natio Áskorza, our magnificent home for the 102nd Buzzjack Song Contest! 58 tracks have been battling it out to join Ashton in the final, also held here in Ashton's national stadium. Our finalists will be revealed 2 at a time in the order they will be performing in the final. DNQ's will be revealed in reverse order, 29th to 19th, alternating between the first and second semi-final. We can exclusively reveal that the Qualification gap in Semi-Final 1 was 2 points, and just a single point in Semi-Final 2.

The Federal Republic of Ashton has picked position [14] for the final with the magnificent Freiheit = Gold (Hey Boy!) by Wunderwelt.

So who will be hitting the Morpeth nightlife in celebration, and who will be hitting the Morpeth nightlife in sorrow? Let's find out shall we!

It's been the first track in a while I've entered and not been so sure on it's chances of qualifying. It stands out from the rest of the semi imo - with only Suedeonia sending something of a similar genre so I'm hoping that's enough plus the quality of the track to get it through! It'll serve as a good memory of my Australia trip in years to come so there wasn't much question about which band I'd send!

Let Me Down Easy and What Can I Do If the Fire Goes Out? both featured in the triple j Hottest 100 top 10 so they'd be a good starting point as well as Magnolia which I've known for a while thanks to a recommendation from a friend!
