Posted August 18, 20186 yr She claims it isn't a drag and she's just highlighting the double standards but what do you think?
August 18, 20186 yr Author Except people DID come for Gaga. And she cancelled the music video as a response. Calm down Nicki.
August 18, 20186 yr Also times have changed. Gaga doing a duet with R Kelly in 2018 would be more controversial than it was in 2013.
August 18, 20186 yr But the DWUW video was scrapped BECAUSE of R.Kelly and I feel like it was a factor in Gaga releasing the Xtine remix. She was also liking tweets calling Cardi B a bad mother  is she 10 or something She never fails to amaze me and that’s not in a good way hun. Edited August 18, 20186 yr by Andrew.
August 18, 20186 yr She's f***ing terrible, I don't think celebrities have an obligation to speak up on everything but she seems to only bother saying anything about anything to get very defensive if it personally affects her. She's the one who f***ed up yet she has to bring up something someone else did 5 years ago... It's always what everyone else has done never her.
August 19, 20186 yr DOuble standards are true of course, that's so obvious People don't give a shit when a fellow male rapper works with XXX or 6ix9ine but as soon as a woman does it people are appalled But I think that she didn't really think before tweeting those things Edited August 19, 20186 yr by SKOB
August 19, 20186 yr She has deleted the tweet. Monsters 💅 HA! She needs to keep Gaga's name outta her mouth.
August 20, 20186 yr DOuble standards are true of course, that's so obvious People don't give a shit when a fellow male rapper works with XXX or 6ix9ine but as soon as a woman does it people are appalled But I think that she didn't really think before tweeting those thingsTbh, I think this is predominently down to that artists fanbase being upset that their fave has worked with a convicted criminal. Whereas I feel like male rappers don't really have that type of following, so the backlash doesn't seem anywhere near as strong. (Hope that makes sense) The thing that's making this whole thing worse imo, is that she is actively DEFENDING it all and basically supporting him by going through with it all. It's really sad to see. I GET why she was dragging p4k though. It is double standards, but then again, times have changed a lot in 5 years. However, they didn't exactly change their tune or pipe up about the R Kelly thing when everyone else did... I genuinely don't think she meant it as offence to Gaga though in all honesty.
August 20, 20186 yr I find it humorous how her Tweet almost came across as an admittance of guilt. But Gaga did it first! I know 2013 doesn't seem long ago (half a decade!) but it really was a different time, and we're supposed to learn from mistakes made in the past and attempt not to replicate them. 2018, post Me Too (where people are *finally* listening to women), obviously Nicki was going to receive uproar from this. Her response has been atrocious and vile. There is definitely a double standard with male rappers/men, but her trying to drag Gaga into this just plays into that.
August 20, 20186 yr Omg she also dragged someone for gettinf the no.1 album over her and saying he doesn't deserve it!
August 20, 20186 yr I do see where she's coming from with double standards - but that's down to the culture of Twitter stans around female artists rather than male artists usually. I think if Biebs was to work with 6ix9ine it'd probably have a similar outcome. I don't agree with her working with 6ix9ine but I'm not sure what people are trying to get out of this backlash? An apology? Pulling her feature? Her to publically call him out and go back on her decision in the first place? I don't really get it.

Get the big publications to talk about it, radio stations catching wind of the backlash and eventuelly lowkey ending her career?
