Posted August 26, 20188 yr So I was shocked to discover how many views ‘Toccata’ has raked in now when listening to it earlier, I was under the impression that ONUKA was my most viewed entry :o so those views have shot up a hell of a lot since I entered it in 2016. It got me wondering, what are your most viewed entries? And how does their real life popularity measure up to BJSC popularity? This is my top 10: BCnJAMkETiU 01. OVERWERK - Toccata // 8.7 million views (BJSC 85 • 8th) 02. Sonia y Selena - Yo Quiero Bailar // 5.1 million views (BJSC 81 • 8th) 03. ONUKA - Time // 4.7 million views (BJSC 75 • 9th) 04. Elena Temnikova - Kazalsya Strannym // 3 million views (BJSC 103 • DNQ) 05. Perturbator - Sentient (feat. Hayley Stewart) // 2.4 million views (BJSC 84 • 25th) 06. Zhanar Dugalova - Izin korem // 2 million views (BJSC 99 • 26th) 07. Francis and the Lights - See Her Out (That’s Just Life) // 1.4 million views (BJSC 100 • 14th) 08. Shpongle - Around The World In A Tea Daze (Ott Remix) // 1.3 million views (BJSC 105 • 16th) 09. Tuna - Seret Aravi // 1.1 million views (BJSC 86 • DNQ) 10. Vendredi sur Mer - Larme à Gauche // 937k views (BJSC 107 • TBA!!) Interesting to see two of my DNQs up there, yay for real world justice. A lot of my foreign entries are in the top 10 too as you would expect. Also... there’s just something about my 8th placers apparently ;o none of my medal positions in the contest are here which is also interesting to note, although the version of ‘Waqqaberry’ with the most views has been deleted so that would’ve snuck in otherwise) (On the contrary, my most inspired is ‘Mango Bay’ by MONOMOTION which only has about 1000 views :o)
August 26, 20188 yr All the ones that are over a million views (a few others are as well combining several different uploads but just using the most viewed ones): 1 52.0m deadmau5 - Ghosts 'N' Stuff (feat. Rob Swire) (6.6m for the audio version) 2 37.1m Yung Lean - Kyoto 3 18.5m Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey 4 18.4m SBTRKT - Wildfire (feat. Little Dragon) (3.8m for the official video) 5 17.5m Vampire Weekend - Cousins 6 11.2m A-WA - Habib Galbi (2.0m for the Mr. Worldwide remix feat. Pitbull *.*) 7 10.7m Young Money - Steady Mobbin' (feat. Gucci Mane) (a randomer upload of the video - 1.9m for the official upload, plus two other versions with 8.1m and 5.2m so probably third when combined) 8 9.1m The Temper Trap - Fader 9 7.6m BROCKHAMPTON - GOLD 10 6.1m WEDNESDAY CAMPANELLA - Shakushain 11 5.7m J.I.D - NEVER 12 4.8m IC3PEAK - Grustnaya Suka 13 4.7m LUNA - Butylochka 14 4.5m Beth Ditto - I Wrote The Book 15 3.4m Wild Belle - Keep You (1.3m for the audio version) 16 3.4m A Tribe Called Red - Sisters (feat. Northern Voice) 17 2.8m The Rapture - How Deep Is Your Love? (a randomer upload - 1.1m for the official video and another randomer upload also has 1.7m) 18 2.4m Digitalism - Blitz 19 2.3m Azari & III - Reckless (With Your Love) (a randomer upload - <500k for the official video) 20 2.2m SOHN - The Wheel 21 2.2m ROSALÍA - Catalina 22 2.1m Orphic Oxtra - Skeletons Having Sex On A Tin Roof (*.*) 23 2.0m POLIÇA - Lay Your Cards Out (feat. Mike Noyce) 24 1.9m San Holo - Hiding (feat. The Nicholas) (Trap City upload - <100k for the version on San Holo's channel) 25 1.5m Joe Goddard - Gabriel (feat. Valentina) 26 1.5m Angel Haze - New York 27 1.4m Jaymes Young - Dark Star (Kiely Rich Remix) (obviously for the full length version, the Hitstastic edit has nearly 3,000 plays on SoundCloud tho, slay x) 28 1.4m Sogand - The Lom Unsurprisingly my very first entry remains my most viewed, that really sticks out like a sore thumb among my entries for being deeply uninspired  ('Cousins' up there as well ofc, and the other minor UK hits 'Hey Hey', 'Wildfire', 'Fader', 'I Wrote The Book', 'Gabriel' and 'New York'). Yung Lean being such a comfortable 2nd is a little more unexpected but I remember its views were pretty high already at the time I sent it, he has quite a big following online and that is his most popular song. Otherwise dominated by non-Anglosphere acts that must have a bit of a following in their home countries - I actually got to A-WA before their views blew up, when it was a completely obscure oddity posted on Reddit, but clearly there's something about that song!! - as well as a couple of other recent hip-hop entries that are big on the Internet but I got away with here because they're not popular in the UK / in the mainstream. Although a lot of this list is dominated by my older entries, it's actually pretty dominated by my very recent entries as well, with 5 of my last 9 entries being on this list. Getting cheap xx

'Gecko' would probably be third combined, the original mix and the music video both have 23M views each. Oops at my current entry being in my bottom five, that doesn't bode too well for its position tonight! A remix of the Maceo Plex track has 332K views, so Jenny Mayhem still really holds the title for most obscure DNLD entry (the original of that has barely 290 views). (ties are not broken, I'm just going off the YT screen caps)

August 26, 20188 yr Made quite a big edit to my post as more of my songs than I realised have other uploads with more views than the ones I used in my YT playlist for my entries xx more cheap than I am letting on! (at least it drops the number of very recent entries in my top 10 from 4 to 1 :P) I think my least viewed with all uploads combined is probably Dead Husband - Healthy Boy, wasn't on YouTube at all when I sent it (just a few hundred views on Vimeo), it now has a couple of uploads there but still fewer than 5k views with all combined.
August 26, 20188 yr Bit difficult for me to check at the moment but... From memory, I think my most viewed would be Siames - The Wolf, that has a crazy high number of views compared to its profile, no doubt due to the video, somewhere between 40-50 million last I checked. Megitsune is probably fairly high, probably at least 10 mil although it’s been ages since I last checked. Same thing with Paralyzed and Call Of The Mountains. I know the most viewed upload of Ichiban No Takaramono has around 9 mil and You Say Run has millions from MHA being about the biggest current anime show. Quite a few of my recent entries have about a million and a half or something when I find them. Much more and it feels a little cheap but there is a nice sweet spot. Plus view inflation means that a million views means less than it used to.
August 26, 20188 yr i'm sure my biggest ones are 364m Shakira - Loba (2 official uploads combined) 158m Azealia Banks - 212 97m Adele's Hometown Glory This entry however deserves all of the views of the internet combined but sadly it only has like 354k :( 4dbU2f90OAw

Tanya Lacey seems affected the most, that's the only non-live version on YouTube  :drama: Actually quite amazed at how low Frans Walfridsson's count is, it's only an audio video which probably doesn't help and he's far from a big name but not even 1k views :o
August 26, 20188 yr It'll take me forever to do a full list, but I think it's Bastille or WALK THE MOON that have the most, both well over a million I'm sure. Anyone's free to check if they'd like x
August 26, 20188 yr Walk The Moon by some way. 8.6M vs 23M there. You'd think it'd be Bastille but 'Overjoyed' isn't exactly one of their biggest songs either.
