I'd say the Spice Girls were more manufactured, I mean each of them had defining personalities given to them to match nicknames that were also given to them :P Girls Aloud I don't really know much about but I'm pretty sure most of these sorts of girl groups were micromanaged from the second they were put together by some form of management

 

Not that boy groups are any different :P I think Westlife formed naturally but I can't think of any other boyband that wasn't created with money on the mind (oh and 5SOS)

You're actually getting personal with them like they've personally offended you though. Music taste is subjective so I don't care for your opinion on the song. But to name call them? Nah.

 

Sats are literally my 3rd fave girl group and I've defended them multiple times. But Little Mix are in a completely different league when it comes to performances you're saying they don't deserve a #1 on the back of this "lazy - and mimed" performance, but that was literally The Sats speciality...

 

Little Mix "not at their best" are literally better than 99% of the acts out there today and majority if not all uk girl groups.

I think they've done very well in the UK with very pop singles on their last two eras after the Salute (which was slightly more urban/R&B sounding) fluke.

 

Now it seems they're trying to head back to that Salute sound and I believe the UK's a bit more keen on Pop Mix.

 

But yeah, song isn't their best either. I'm way more interested in the album itself, not even them seem that into WLM. Jade was questioned about her favourite songs in the album and mentioned five, none of which were the lead.

 

It probably only became the lead because it was the one on which they managed to get Nicki, besides the Jess/Ed pairing sounding like a sure hit.

The same one where all those Saturdays songs listed deserved no.1.

 

The Saturdays were no more than a caretaker girl group filling in for when Girls Aloud and Sugababes ended and Little Mix began. Their desperation for a no.1 was the only thing about them and embarrassing at that. They were like the 911 of girl groups but with more endurance.

To be fair ITV did Little Mix dirty by putting them on at the very start of the programme. Even as someone who wasn't looking forward to them performing I tuned about 3 minutes into the show and the song was nearly finished whilst Nicki's rap was happening which surprised me a lot.
