This was more difficult than I thought it'd be! Both have incredible highs, but both definitely have a small share of filler. Ended up going with Light Years in the end.

Fever for the win!

I'm not as enamoured with Light Years as most people here seem to be.

Light Years to win.

An album housing loads of Kylie doing pop music at her ultimate best.

A very important album in her career that paved the away for a decade of Kylie achieving huge success.

Fever is also a very strong album that i often go back to but i have a much greater love for the Light Years material in large.

Light Years to win for me! The first Kylie album I listened to and boy did I get my use out of the CD! Would always ask my mum to put it on in the car and I have worn the inner bottom corner of the booklet from when I've taken it out the case to sing along to the lyrics! Nostalgia definitely plays it's part in why I love this album so much but, even doing my best to ignore that, so many of the songs genuinely are such fab pop songs. So much happiness and personality, she definitely embraces and feels at ease with this pop sound following the DeCon years.

Fever is a worthy runner-up though. More perfect pop with that brilliantly slick and futuristic production.

When i first purchased Light Years i played it to death, it was wall to wall pop brilliance with the odd little bleep thrown in (Koocachoo).

The album embraced Kylie at ease with pop and that shined right through the album.

I voted for 'Fever' as it relies less on a gimmick. Such a unique album. Kylie set the standards of pop all over again.

But I love 'Light Years' too. I actually love it more now than I did at the time.

One big difference i find with Fever is many of the album tracks have not aged aswell as some of those on Light Years.

Fever, feels more of an album of its time but still great.

Light Years is light years ahead of Fever!!

Well said!

The vote at this early point is closer than i expected it to be.

Light Years of course just for it's sheer brilliance, 'Spinning Around was hell of a comeback and made her revelant again, follow up 'On A Night Like This' further cemented her return and of course was just perfect, 'Your Disco Needs You was just a camp classic to add to her discography, even 'Kids', which did become another smash and made her return stick, even if it's not everybody's favourite and of course the Latin tinged 'Please Stay ' which did seem like an odd choice at the time, still a great song though and something a little bit different for here.

The other tracks is what really makes the whole thing shine, the fabulous 'Disco Down', (the single that never was), ' Light Years,, 'Butterfly', 'So Now Goodbye, 'Under The Influence Of Love all just really makes it glorious.

Light Years....Fever is ‘better’ but LY is way more fun.

I honestly agree so much with your comments but i would add the sublime Bittersweet Goodbye in as it is a gorgeously wonderful song.

I really felt we couldn't have asked for anymore for a comeback. It was a spectacular return from Kylie at the time and everyone was talking about her.

Seeing Kylie back at the top of the charts was a big moment, and the gold hot pants were a move that paid off on a massive level.

The album just sums up the brilliance of Kylie.

Neither are my overall favourite albums but Light Years should be long gone tbh - going with Fever as it’s a solid album from an epic era in her career.
Ugh didn’t read the poll title and voted for LY as thought it was the same as the other polls and least liked for the vote :drama: :puke2:

It is a very strong Top 2, i felt Aphrodite placed higher than it should have and would have welcomed Enjoy Yourself into the final 3.

That said, i would replace Fever with Enjoy Yourself for a perfect Top 2.
