Posted October 28, 20186 yr It had to be asked. We've had 2 very similarly titled UK #1s this year, both one-weekers - so I ask, how do you prefer your Fridays?
October 28, 20186 yr Author I've warmed to Funky a lot in recent weeks but still prefer Freaky, one of my fave hits this year.
October 28, 20186 yr Freaky Friday is great if you include the video but if it's just the song it's awful. I didn't like Funky Friday at first but it's definitely a grower and I'm liking it now.
October 28, 20186 yr 'Funky Friday' is definitely a lot better as a song (has grown on me a lot after initially finding it a little underwhelming). 'Freaky Friday' was fun for a bit with the video but I already think it hasn't aged well even on that level. So team Dave ~
October 28, 20186 yr Genuinely fail to see the appeal of Funky Friday. It's not just a case of it not being to my taste, I just can't see any hook or anything you could enjoy about it.
October 28, 20186 yr Funky for sure. I do not support criminals. This! And Funky is loooads better anyway.
October 28, 20186 yr 'Funky Friday' both by far because I quite like it, and by default because 'Freaky Friday' is one of the most repugnant hits I've lived through.
October 28, 20186 yr 'Funky Friday' by far, not that 'Freaky Friday' is any competition (I'm not keen on it myself), but 'Funky' is one of the best rap songs of the year. I expect we're going to be hearing a lot more from Dave in 2019 too, whereas Lil Dicky will have to be lucky to ever get another chart hit.
October 29, 20186 yr Neither! Maybe 'Freaky Friday' if I was watching the accompanying video for amusement purposes, but as standalone pieces of music neither have any real merit.
October 29, 20186 yr Team 'Funky Friday' as that has turned out to be quite the grower. 'Freaky Friday' got old pretty quickly.
