Zayn is going to do dreadful. Down to #29 on iTunes already (didn't reach that high in the first place) and there isn't any physical copies because they don't come out till this Friday. Wouldn't be surprised to see him not charting at all since iTunes is the only place people can buy the album and sales there are very weak anyway.

Streaming rules on the album will also be a hindrance, where they only count streams from the most popular 12 tracks. Anyone listening to the whole 27 tracks album will only contribute 12 streaming units (out of the 1000 needed per album ‘sale’) instead of 27.

I think it's more of a Boney M's Ma Baker reference than Poker Face but I can see how Gaga made the "ma-ma-ma-ma" interpolation relevant in today's scene.

Ariana did nearly 150k more streams last week and was only 8k ahead so it'll be close.

I'd love Ava to get the Xmas #1 but I don't think she'll get there unless her numbers have another surge during the week - she's been closing the gap but not quickly enough. It'll be close though. Hopefully she can get the #1 after this anyway.

I mean I'm no music industry expert, but Zayn releasing this week without a CD is surely one of the worst decisions humanly possible. And if it is indeed true that he is at #67 in the midweeks, that must be one of the largest drop off's from debut album to sophomore album we've seen in recent years.

So Zayn will sell around 1-2k albums + streaming? It's epic disaster :o
