Steps would be a dream forum *.* Maybe one to consider giving a trial run when they get around to being able to start their era.

Pussycat Dolls had a forum. It flopped. Their threads work in the pop forum.

Absolutely not Lizzo (at least for me). She doesn't really get talked about much beyond her music. No one talks about her away from her music.

Steps is the only one where I think it could work, but then again they've had about 4 years between this upcoming album and their last one and although they get discussed a lot in the run up to an era, they don't really get talked about in between the eras. I think they're also they work well in pop.

 

But ofc these are just my thoughts.

Tbf Pussycat Dolls had a forum years ago, we have a largely new memberbase now. I can see other factors suggesting it might not work beyond album release but I don't think that's one of them.

 

I think a Steps forum would encourage more activity than they receive in Pop. I'm sure there's evidence of general discussion within the album threads and the group do seem fairly visible in between eras. I think there's enough going for it to be given a trial run when we get more solid details about the new era.

Also wouldn’t bringing in a Steps/S Club/Pussycat Dolls forum be a bit of a slap in the face to the Sugababes forum? One that had been kept busy despite no new material for like 7 years, consistently doing well in the posters chart and now they have new material? It was still pretty popular when it was let go.

Lizzo may be one of the most talked about people on other platforms, but... she's hardly a major talking point on Buzzjack. I'd advocate for the return of the Cardi B forum before I threw my support behind a Lizzo one.

The difference is, who here is a huge Lizzo stan? It's why the Billie Eilish forum didn't work, the mods did what they could but nobody was quite a big enough stan to make it work. Those forums all have noted stans who have made it work alongside very dedicated mod teams.

 

It's also why an Adele forum didn't work even around the time 21 was out. There just weren't the stans that really make an AF worthwhile, rather than it basically being the exact threads you'd see in pop anyway!

Okay fair enough I didn't really think of that! I actually agree lol, new/returning AFs need huge stans to make it work.

Shawn, Ellie and Calvin each have very committed fanbases here on Buzzjack so it makes a lot more sense that they have a forum as opposed to the likes of Lizzo. Certainly in respect of Ellie and Calvin, they may not be huge talking points outside of the music itself, but the mods of those forums make it work. Shawn is out of era just now, but as you said yourself is still maintaining a decent number of posts, and is a massive name outside of his music alone.

No it was still pretty busy but there was no material coming out after years of ‘soon’. That material literally turned up a week after the forum was binned.

 

I’m not advocating a return of the Sugababes forum but it would make more sense to do that than go with the other suggestions.

Wow :lol: I genuinely would love a Steps forum regardless of who mods it, they have such a fabulous discography, the incredible videos, their album eras are properly promoted giving lots to talk about, they appear on all sorts of things and do all sorts as solo acts.
