How does P!nk always do this? no hype and still huge sales, she’s apparently immune to market changes.

A lot of her fanbase will be people who don't have stan accounts and such :P

*not that there's anything wrong with targeting them lol, I love Take That and Steps.

Are Steps a Mum act now?!

Omg so happy to see P!nk at #1 with a comfortable lead! :cheer:
VERY surprised to see P!nk out in the lead, but good to see nonetheless even if I’m routing for Catfish and the Bottlemen! Marina potentially holding T5 would be great to see too.
Well their peak was about 1999, 20 years ago. A 13 year old fan then will be 33 now :P

Yeah and all 33 year olds are mums.

Dear me, I should know what to expect in the chart forum after 13 years but I am DISMAYED by some of the comments in this thread.

Buzzjack, a forum known for worshipping female singers and lamenting that the music industry is sexist and ageist because their fave females decline, absolutely cannot seem to stand Pink, a woman of almost 40, seeing some success.

Pink does deserve no.1and with a lead like that as the album, if you’ve bothered to listen to it, is actually very good. Is it her best? No, nothing she releases now ever will be. She’s on album 8 FFS. But she has experimented and produced some lovely tracks.

Is it MOR? Yes quite probably. But I’ve never understood why that is seen as a bad thing. Why is managing to appeal to a broad demographic seen as a bad thing? People on here are quick to moan about music snobbery but that’s exactly what you’re doing when you band around terms like MOR as insults.

Bravo Pink for being above it all. For being likeable and relatable even after 20 years. For producing some of the best songs of the century and for still having a f***ing amazing voice and being able to easily outperform any of today’s stars on stage.

So glad she’s looking at getting no.1. Incredible album.

This is so well said.

P!nk still outlasting their faves though.

Whoever’s at the top end of the chart rarely seems to be liked on here though regardless.

It’s a bit silly to say that Pink only appeals to mums....

I'm a Pink fan  She was one of the first artists I ever saw live.

I didn't say she *only* appeals to mums - but I imagine a lot are, she's been around a while now.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, her music is still really good.

Can Keisha and Becky die please?

The song would probably go to #1 if that happened!

Interesting that Keisha & Becky is holding up better than Gun Lean and has had a higher level of weekly consumption. I think this is better than Gun Lean even if it's basically the same song.

Can we be certain Marina will hold her place in the top ten and keep up the streak? Hope so :cheer: :D

I'd say Gun Lean is better than K&B but the remix of K&B is better than the remix of Gun Lean which is probably why it's holding up better (that and Russ now being a bigger name than he was).

Surprised that Stormzy is already ahead of Taylor considering how far ahead she is on sales which tend to be more relevant in the first mids! I've not heard the song yet but it'd be good for him to grab a first #1 single so rooting for him to hang on.

Have to say I also expected Catfish to get the #1 album as they seem to have more hype than ever while P!nk has had a relatively quiet era (of course her album was always going to have more casual appeal and longevity but I didn't think she'd beat the Catfish fanbase's week 1 sales on this particular occasion).
