There is absolutely no need whatsoever for us to treat this creep with any respect just because he’s President of the United States. It doesn’t make him any better than the rest of us and given the awful views he carries, he’s actually scum and should be treated worse than others. I want him to piss off.

Unless your protest is to overturn a political stance (Clause 28, equal pay, Brexit etc), I think they are otherwise futile. I don’t believe a protest will ultimately change anything.

 

That said, Trump is a massive piece of shit. I’d deconstruct why, but I’ll let ol faithful Jonathan Pie do that...

My use of 'odious' was specifically meant to imply the exact opposite of defence - I'm afraid the misinterpretation is yours.

Great, then you can join us in celebrating how awful he is and how our criticism and lack of respect towards him is completely valid.

At least if Trump was in charge of our Brexit negotiations we'd have left with no deal by now. He'd have got Farage in to lead the negotiations he said too and get really tough with the EU. He wouldn't pay them another penny unless they agreed to all our demands. For a guy who's never been a diplomat he has the right idea. May and her others have just messed about with EU bosses and been too soft with them. We need a really tough no-nonsense leader like Trump.

What do you think walking away from our obligations would do to our credit rating? How would you persuade other countries that we can be trusted to stick to any deals we might agree?

Kind of basic concept of diplomacy, don’t insult your hosts. And especially don’t use your public platform to defame them like he did to Sadiq Khan. Harry’s well justified in wanting no part of this.

 

I can guarantee you that the EU would have laughed someone with Trump’s attitude out of negotiations very quickly.
