He's really had the most remarkable musical turnaround for me from 'Promises' onwards, I can hardly believe it!

Whereas for example, Ed Sheeran has gone completely the opposite way from Divide onwards.

Very addictive and the drop is so good! Have this on repeat. The video is great as well. This is going to be massive.
The song is a bop. Butttt I really wish it was someone else singing it. His voice is nauseating and goes right through me :(
Love this - Of course he’s great at ballads but this type of dance/pop suits him SO well.
The video already has over 10 million views! I think this is his biggest video debut?

This sounds really good! I prefer this to Dancing With A Stranger already and I'm really liking the twinkly intro and the drop too, I like you can recognise Sam's vocals pitched up rather than distorted beyond belief. I get they're a bit marmeet and this probably won't do as well it's predecessor but it's good to see him not play so safe anymore.

I think this has been a smart career move moving towards a more contemporary sound. Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Lewis Capaldi have really saturated the male singer/songwriter market and a third album in that vein at this time would've paled significantly imo. Sam is shifting into a dance-pop market that only Years & Years slot into currently and I think he has far more chance standing out there whilst still maintaining his previous fans.

Yeah, he's definitely shifted into becoming an artist I'm intrigued to see what's coming and I wouldn't have said that last era. I actively avoided Too Good At Goodbyes for about a month.

I'm still unsure about the drop but I do like it and it's got a level of replay-ability about it. I don't think I'll ever love it like I do 'Dancing With A Stranger' but it's a solid follow-up and I like this direction. Weirdly, for whatever reason, the start of the chorus reminds me of Shayne Ward's No Promises lmao. Strange but hey.

The thing about his vocal that I can never quite get past, is that he really sounds like he has a cold!

I’m here for an album full of how do you sleep and dancing with a stranger
This is by far my favourite thing he has even done as a Lead Artist, I’ll be so disappointed if this is the song of his that doesn’t chart well
I love this but was expecting it to be near the top end of the iTunes charts tbh - I think it reached #5 and has now dropped back to #7. It’ll be a huge hit and hang around but I really thought it would be challenging for the top.
