What I find most impressive — other than the incredible consistent visuals, the album rollout, and so on — is how she completely avoided a sophomore slump as well as separate herself the crowd. She clearly had a vision, a point-of-view, and didn't bother with low food-chain algorithm pop. All without a feature in sight? It would have been such an easy mistake to make — look at most female popstars in the UK right now.

It's genuinely heart-warming seeing her getting the hits and deserved acclaim. I want videos for most of these songs immediately.

All of this. The absence of features should be recognised and hopefully imitated by her peers. She's now achieved two massive global hits without a rent-a-rapper or feature. Dua's creativity has shone through every aspect of this campaign so far - the artwork, the music videos, the live performances, overall concept. I completely get the comparisons to Katy's Teenage Dream era - not in terms of music, but the sharp ascent from moderately successful debut with a couple of big hits to a second album where nearly every song could smash. Also, if she (and The Weeknd) manages to kick off an 80's revival - which seems to be the case - then I will forever be grateful.

I’m so obsessed with this album! It’s incredible!

If Future ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘Good In Bed’ weren't included on the tracklist, it would be a perfect album

That hot pink looks gorgeous! I love the album cover too. I'll definitely be purchasing, I was inclined to do it immediately after my first listen but I'm going to wait until we go back to normality given the predicted delivery date being listed as late April.
Finally got around to listening to this album and the first half wasn't doing anything for me but I think the album really found its rhythm with Levitating. After that I really enjoyed pretty much every track. Really good album overall!

Really good streaming numbers on Spotify in the UK and WW, all the songs top 50 apart from the last 2 on the album. 3 songs top 5 in the UK

I'd imagine she'd have smaller drops than the other album bombs as well so the songs might hold up decently

Awesome result tbh :cheer:

I am stanning for Don't Start Now getting new peak in WW Spotify 5 months after release :kink:

Have a look at my reaction video. It includes some dodgy dancing at the 9-minute mark lol

This album is somehow even better after a second day of listening. Surely I can't enjoy anymore tomorrow than I do now
Cool is such a guilty pleasure

Imagine saying this about a song that I have been bullied for 24 solid hours for not liking x

You suddenly and unexpectedly coming out with "Now one of the reasons why I have to self isolate is because of how fat I am!" while dancing is SENDING me

FYI, the album isn't doing between 250-300k in the US. I also thought that, but the 'in activity to date' part is the key here.

HITS (or HDD) article says that "Don't Start Now" notched over 200m streams pre-release, so this means that part of these streams are going to be considered for the album, which seems to be around 50-100k actually. That said, HITS also revealed their first forecast and Dua isn't considered because she and PARTYNEXTDOOR don't have bundles, while 5SOS and Pearl Jam have and the estimates of them are around 80k.

Later today or tomorrow at the very least, it's expected to be an article from HITS with the estimate figures in the US.
