I wonder what Posts paid for sales are like.

Lana at #8 hope she can climb or at least not further drop. I can see her overtaking Melanie by the end of the week though.

well Post relies mostly on streaming and his figures on Spotify have been average, nothing crazy, not even track over 500k on release day

so expected sales for him

I really thought Bat for Lashes would be top 10, though she has the kind of fans that still buy CDs...

Lana a bit lower than I'd hoped after she seemed to be stabilising at about 2.5-3K last week.

Sad for Bat For Lashes too, it's a good album!

Was expecting a bit of a dip from the opening numbers of Posty's last album considering the singles did a fair bit less well and of course the vast majority of his sales are from streaming, his numbers are still decent enough and should still be a comfortable #1 for him. Hoping 'Circles' can keep at least #4 all week and it'll be good to see 'Goodbyes' finally getting a second week top 10 too (assuming it'll overtake 'Hollywood's Bleeding').

1-8 seems like a steep drop for Lana but it is only behind Ed/Taylor/Lewis (who were always bound to overtake her very quickly) and a bunch of new entries, hopefully she'll at least be ahead of Melanie by the end of the week and hold up better from next week onwards. Aside I see it's confirmed that Jax Jones' 'album' is inheriting the chart run of the 'EP' as expected.

Nice to see 'all the good girls go to hell' is charting already and pretty comfortably at that! I hope it can be a hit for her, it feels like we don't get many proper post album singles like this these days (certainly not many that actually do well at least).

Belinda Carlisle Top 20,didnt know she was releasing an album.

Ed Sheeran should comfortable take the Number 2 album position.

Just now i have realised The Brand New Heavies are Top 40.

It will most certainly drop out but welcoming that it was a midweek Top 40.

Torn is #89 in the midweeks. Stable atm but hopefully it’ll be a slow hit
Oh no Mahalia... hopefully it won't drop much lower than that. Great debut album and Simmer sounds like a hit, it just needs a little more of a push

Yes! Another fan

from wiki

In the United Kingdom, Beerbongs & Bentleys debuted at number one, moving 46,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 35,000 units coming from streaming, giving Post Malone the third biggest opening week of streams for an album in the UK of all time.

I enjoy Mahalia too - numbers are quite low for her though - she's had decent promo from radio 1 and on the tv!
Gawd, that top 10 really has been infested with utter tripe.

Just need Sam Feldt to join in to top it off? :P

Must say I'm not big on any of the Posty songs (bar the amazing Goodbyes of course) but I heard Hollywoods Bleeding earlier and that sounded like a potential big grower so we'll see...

Was hoping Sam Fender would climb to higher than #57 with ‘Will We Talk’ after his performance on ‘The One Show’ :nocheer: Am sure it’s doing next to nothing on streaming though.

It's been around the 170s on Spotify for the last week which isn't bad for the kind of song it is. I still wish 'Play God' had been a bigger hit from him as that remains his best song by an absolute mile but his singles since then have both proven to be very slow growers for me, I'm only just getting into 'Will We Talk?' now. (His newest song 'The Borders' was a little more instant for me though!)
