Just seen Farage on Sky News and he's not happy at all. He obviously realises he's been had by the Tories and wishes now that he hadn't agreed to stand down those 300 seats. His only hope is a hung parliament to avoid going into obscurity. He'a also refusing to refund some BXP members their membership money as they've asked for it back, claiming that he's duped them. Quoted as saying "I'm not refunding one penny"

Well at least that's one positive to come out of this election. The vile sh!t Farage has lost his shine and God like status amongst the racists the biggots. That's now Johnson's title

It’s all saving face.

It’s convenient for him to say he’s been had as soon as the deadline for standing candidates has passed. He knew before the deadline. He could have at least waited a day before he played this card!

He's certainly not a happy man tonight. His members were looking forward to lefletting and a good fight so now they want their money back. :o

LOL. He's in the right though legally I'm sure. Just because things change doesn't mean they can just expect him to start refunding annual membership fees willy-nilly.
Labour's always been lax on immigration. In 1997 they removed the Primary Purpose rules whereby spouses of UK citizens could be prevented by Embassies from entering the country if they suspected the marriage had just been to gain entry to the UK. Same for fiancees. Now it's much easier as there's just the income rule.

Yet net immigration reached its highest point under a Tory government who were adamant at "reducing immigration to the 10s of thousands".

Anyway, regardless of which party is in power, immigration is going to continue to be high for as long as there remain large amounts of unfilled vacancies in high skilled/key jobs.

In Boris Johnson's seat, a Lord Buckethead is due to stand for the Monster Raving Looney Party. Interestingly, also running in the same election is Count Binface, who had previously stood as the Lord Buckethead character in the 2017 election in Theresa May's seat, and had to renounce his claim to the name for copyright reasons. There's an interesting article about this from a few months back.

Think that red bird character from Sesame Street's standing too. He opposed May in her seat last time and Cameron in 2015. Said he was honoured to shake their hands. He doesn't mind losing his deposit as how many people can say they've shaken the hand of so many PM's. :)

EDIT. 12 Candidates contest Boris's seat compared to just 5 last time,

He got 3 votes the last time he stood, which means that at least 7 people who signed his nomination papers didn't vote for him.

Ah but do your nominees have to be in the constituency you're standing in?

Yes.

Could be difficult if it's not where you live and you don't have much to do with that area.

Yes.

He'd have known that if he REAAAALLY wanted to stand. He's just trolling, same as with those supposed trump t shirts he fled from when we called him out for lying to get reactions

Oh lord did the troll actually say that, when thw tories have promised it for TEN YEARS, but not enforced any of the eu laws regarding borders and immigration and has seen immigration INCREASE MASSIVELY FROM OUTSIDE THE EU UNDER THEIR INCOMPETENT POSH BOY "GOVERNMENT", I.E ETON DEBATE CLUB?!
Reducing overall immigration is music to my ears and I bet those of loys of other voters too.

Do tell us why reducing immigration could ever be such a joyous occasion. How will it benefit your life, and how does it compensate for restricting the international opportunities for the younger, more mobile generation that I belong to.
