The compilations chart could've done with a decent seller and something that isn't the latest Now album at #1, but there we are.

Monster would be a re-entry not new... and how long will they keep going with these Gold albums, still can't knock a winning (or at least a #35 in the mids) formula. Further down, it's started, with Mariah at #65 and Michael Buble out of his cave at #64.

Probably was, because most charity albums are multi-artist efforts.

I still remember the controversy when the Help! charity album wasn't included in the main chart in 1995.

That's the example I was going to mention. There was certainly an attempt to get it accepted into the main chart, but it failed.

Mariahs album at #65!

Could go top 40 this year perhaps.. although this is being classed as an entire new release hasn’t it as its down as a new entry not a re entry.

It's no different at all really to that Elton John covers album that was eligible in the Compilation Chart.

Its no different to THS:Reimaged which was banished to the compilations chart

It's marked as new rather than a re-entry because it hasn't appeared in a midweek chart since the OCC started archiving them, it will still be a re-entry on the final chart as you can see it correctly says it has a #32 peak. The OCC website's midweek charts are a little misleading like this.

Great to see Mariahs Christmas album back on the chart, i remember been so disappointed with its original release only made number 32, this was back in the days when i was a fan.

Bananarama number 56 with a live album, i hope it can hold onto getting top 100 on Friday.

Guessing Dua will fall to #3 by tomorrow then - still a better debut than I was expecting though.
YAY for Jax top 20.

Is Lizzo likely to remain top 5, or get kicked out again?

She'll likely be kicked out unfortunately :(

She's increased the gap between her and Regard day-by-day so that's unlikely!

I wouldn't imagine so, she's pulling away from Regard.

It’s gonna be close for the Frock Destroyers .... they’re falling pretty hard on iTunes so hoping they can climb again on Spotify today
Come on Frock Destroyers. *_* Never did I imagine they would get so high in the mids and have a legitimate chance at a top 40 placing! They're holding fairly steady on iTunes and are climbing up the spotify chart. Hopefully they'll get a small boost Thursday when the show airs again - could be just enough to scrap into the top 40. It's a shame a music video of the performance wasn't made available on youtube - it would've likely got quite a lot of views to help its sales.
Anyone know where Mariah Christmas peaked in the albums chart and how much it's sold in the U.K.?

#32 is still its peak from 1994! But it has gone Platinum with around 320,000 sales to date.

Just noticed that the Alphabeat album isn't even Top 100! I know they're not that cool any more (anyone see what I did there? :kink:) but I thought they'd at least get a Top 100 showing in the Monday mids - they even performed on Jonathan Ross (or was it Graham Norton?)

They were very close to appearing in the top 100 on Monday to be fair, but they've dropped a lot since.
