Thanks for getting your nominations in, due to the number of nominations this year 4 nominations were needed for a qualification, leading to a slightly reduced shortlist of 43 songs (it'd be 74 otherwise).

 

Some fun facts before we get going:

 

• 6ix9ine won't be a repeat winner as 'Kika' only managed 3 nominations. Nicki Minaj only had one nomination at all (for 'Megatron') and Murda Beatz had no hits or nominations since. There definitely won't be a repeat winner this year anyway as none of the artists (see below) have made it this far.

• The most nominations were given to Kanye West 'Follow God', with 8. The song with the most nominations is often the winner but it wasn't as convincing of a 'victory' as 6ix9ine last year with his 15 nominations.

• The artist with the most entries this year is D-Block Europe who are here with 3 of their own songs plus a feature. Other repeat offenders include Kanye West, Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, YNW Melly, NSG, Drake, Anne-Marie, James Arthur, Krept & Konan, Tion Wayne and Travis Scott.

I didn't mind it at the start but soon I really started to dislike it, the emphasizing of every word as they sing the line 'every touch is ooh la la la' and similar cheesy romantic lines slowly is definitely a bit cringe-y imo

The rest I either don't care about or are even my favourites of 2019 (The London, Ransom and especially Highest in the Room) so I will vote just for these

I'll vote later but I must have missed all the hate for the Kanye album, as someone who is in largely Christian circles everything I've heard about it is universally positive (which actually surprised me as I thought people might be more sceptical considering his past)
