December 8, 20196 yr Dua being ahead of Stormzy is a little weird too. That'll be because she's had a sales boost from being 59p on iTunes I think, sales are always more exaggerated in the First Look chart as the streaming data takes time to catch up (also Dua was ahead of Stormzy in the First Look chart last week as well). I can't imagine there's much of a gap between them at all. It's Ellie being ahead of Stormzy that is rather concerning
December 8, 20196 yr Was hoping Taylor could sneak top 20 in this update :( River!!!!! That random song from John legend??!!
December 8, 20196 yr I'm more shocked at John Legend being #10 We knew River was gonna be a climber but wasn't even expecting John Legend to be top 100 :D Didn't think John Legend would get a hit this year!
December 8, 20196 yr Yeah this is an Amazon Original too it seems  edit: oops beaten to it Also noticed when i ask alexa to play OMS it plays some slow ballad amazon original version now wonder if that will help leona lower down the charts
December 8, 20196 yr So bizarre that Taylor Swift, Little Mix and Mabel all release new Christmas songs that gain no traction or playlist support, yet Amazon provides easy cover hits for Ellie Goulding and John Legend, neither of who have had a major hit in years! Spotify need to get their act together and shake up their tired playlists or they could lose ground to their more dynamic and reactive competition.

Ikr :( At least Taylor and Katy have finally been added to Christmas hits! (Tho both deserve to be higher :( )
December 8, 20196 yr It'll be interesting to see if there are any other Amazon Covers in the top 100 tomorrow - what's in the Amazon chart?
December 8, 20196 yr I think it's possible there might be more Amazon data than other streaming services because this seriously doesn't seem like it should add up. Clearer picture tomorrow I guess! I'd been thinking the same - either that Friday's Spotify / Apple data is missing, or that both have Fri but Amazon has Fri-Sat perhaps?
December 8, 20196 yr Also noticed when i ask alexa to play OMS it plays some slow ballad amazon original version now wonder if that will help leona lower down the charts You have to use her full name plus the song name for the proper version for some reason.
December 8, 20196 yr John Legend  that flew over my head  Surprised to see Ellie that high, I think she will drop a bit as the week go by, when missing sales are added. :P
December 8, 20196 yr Taylor should've made her song an Amazon exclusive then it may have charted at like #6 then.
December 8, 20196 yr Taylor should've made her song an Amazon exclusive then it may have charted at like #6 then. Haha I've literally been saying this offsite for the past hour 😂😂 Amazon is by far her best streaming platform as well so I low-key feel she could've challenged for #1 judging by river 😂
December 8, 20196 yr If only Michelle McManus' new Christmas album had been an Amazon thing :nocheer:
December 8, 20196 yr I remember reading an article in Music Week hope streaming exclusives is a labels worst nightmare as it can backfire however Amazon obviously want to show their weight and prove they are a strong streaming platform - both tracks have been promoted on multiple playlists, is 2020 going to be the start of streaming exclusives after this result?
