December 27, 20196 yr It’s the last chart show of the year, so yes it is.It's the last one to be compiled in the year / decade but in theory there should still be one further week of sales to count towards the end of year / decade charts. However for the last couple of years the OCC have changed how this usually works. There's still 5 days worth of sales left from 2019 and they way it worked in the past was the last sales week of the year was the one where there was more than 3 days of the year remaining... December 27, 20196 yr There was an unconfirmed rumour that it actually reached No.1 at Christmas 1980, after John Lennon's death, in the chart which was never compiled. They used to make one chart last two weeks. Sources said they did compile it but not release it to Radio 1 or the public and Happy Xmas was No.1, knocking Grandma off after just a week. Then it was Imagine. According to the excellent Music Chronicle 1980 (and I'm not saying that just because I'm mentioned in the acknowledgements :D ), the data for that week wasn't even collected.
December 27, 20196 yr 'everything i wanted' my current personal chart #1  a shame this never quite got to #1 officially but #3 is still very impressive!

After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin. After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007. Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys, and its singles "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold". The former track also sparked controversy for its sapphic themes. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". The album became the first by a female artist to produce five number-one songs in the U.S., and the second overall after Michael Jackson's album Bad. In March 2012, she re-issued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake". Her fourth album, Prism, was released in 2013, and is influenced by pop and dance. She became the first artist with multiple videos to reach one billion views on Vevo with the videos for its songs "Roar" and "Dark Horse". Her fifth album, Witness, followed in 2017, giving Perry her third number-one album on the U.S. Billboard 200. Perry has received many awards, including four Guinness World Records, five American Music Awards, a Brit Award, and a Juno Award, and has been included in the Forbes list of "Top-Earning Women In Music" (2011–2016). Her estimated net worth as of 2016 is $125 million. She is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold 100 million records globally throughout her career. In film, she released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, and voiced Smurfette in the 2011 film The Smurfs and its sequel in 2013. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2008 01 I Kissed A Girl -1- 2008 04 Hot N Cold -2- 2009 27 Thinking Of You -3- 2009 19 Waking Up In Vegas -4- 2009 03 Starstrukk (3OH!3 feat. December 27, 20196 yr Someone on another forum was wondering if these and the other student radio presenters this week are getting paid. Somebody in the industry replied and said yes, they're getting the freelance going rate for single shows but no expenses. So if they've to travel or stay in a hotel overnight in London they've to pay themselves.

She rose to fame in 2002 after winning the inaugural season of the television series American Idol, which earned her a record deal with RCA Records. Clarkson's debut single, "Before Your Love/A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the best-selling single of 2002 in the nation. It was followed by the release of her debut studio album, Thankful (2003), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Trying to reinvent her image, Clarkson decided to part ways with American Idol management and developed a more pop rock sound for her second album, Breakaway (2004). It sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Clarkson two Grammy Awards. She took further creative control for her third album, My December (2007), by becoming the executive producer and co-writing the entire album. However, it caused a feud with her label, that was dissatisfied with her darker, less commercial rock music and reluctantly promoted the album. Clarkson returned to the top of the charts with her more mainstream-oriented fourth album, All I Ever Wanted (2009). Its lead single, "My Life Would Suck Without You", holds the record for the biggest jump to number one on the Billboard Hot 100. She scored another Billboard Hot 100 number-one single with "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" from her fifth studio album, Stronger (2011), which made Clarkson the first artist to win the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album twice. Her sixth studio album and first Christmas record, Wrapped in Red (2013), became the best-selling holiday album of the year, making her the first American female artist to achieve this feat. Her seventh and final album under RCA, Piece by Piece (2015), was her third album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. Its title track became her eleventh top-ten single on the Hot 100. She signed with Atlantic Records in 2016 and recorded her soul-influenced eighth album, Meaning of Life (2017). Clarkson has sold over 25 million albums and 36 million singles worldwide and scored a total of over 100 number ones on the Billboard charts. Her accolades include three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, four American Music Awards, and two Academy of Country Music Awards. Often called one of the best vocalists in the industry, Clarkson is known for her powerhouse voice, as well as her versatility, which enables her to record crossover music. She became the first artist in history to top each of Billboard's pop, adult contemporary, country and dance charts. She was ranked nineteenth on VH1's list of 100 Greatest Women in Music. Clarkson has also ventured into television and film, as well as writing children's books. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2003 06 Miss Independent -1- 2003 35 Low -2- 2005 05 Since U Been Gone -1- 2005 09 Behind These Hazel Eyes -2- 2005 07 Because Of You -3- 2006 21 Walk Away -4- 2006 22 Breakaway -5- 2007 09 Never Again -1- 2009 01 My Life Would Suck Without You -1- 2009 36 I Do Not Hook Up -2- 2009 66 Already Gone -3- 2011 04 Mr. Know It All -1- 2012 08 What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) -2- 2012 40 Dark Side -3- 2012 51 Catch My Breath -1- 2013 21 Underneath The Tree -1- 2015 07 Heartbeat Song -1- 2015 21 Second Hand Heart (Ben Haenow feat.
