March 14, 20205 yr Awful awful episode, how did Heidi not win, mediocre runway, awful challenge, TERRIBLE lipsync
March 14, 20205 yr I found it incredibly unnerving when Dahlia was lip syncing into the camera constantly.
March 14, 20205 yr Author I didn’t mind the challenge but it could’ve been funnier if Ross didn’t steal all the spotlight. Heidi should’ve won. She’s just so charismatic it’s a joy to watch her. The lip sync was terrible and they definitely didn’t want the only foreigner (Jackie notwithstanding) to leave so soon. Next week she should slay anyway. Dahlia storming off though. Girl. She didn’t even try to do a Vanjie. She was my least favourite and went first. :cheer: Brita and Sherry didn’t quite come off as nice with their comments towards Aiden who did what others who feel out of their comfort zone would. I don’t see it as a problem at this stage in the competition. I love how they did first elimination when I remember all of their names already. Very smart to have two premieres with no elimination. I see some shocking double sashay coming up so I think the whole thing will speed up soon. Edited March 14, 20205 yr by 🍆
March 14, 20205 yr Yeah that was... not a vintage episode  The challenge dragged and really I feel like it was only Heidi who stood out, who I remembered. Ross kind of took over, and then a lot of the characters were shit as well, it just didn't work. I think that was the least I've enjoyed a main series episode in a good while :( It was the right elimination really although I think either one of Dahlia or Nicky could have been replaced by Crystal in the bottom based on the runway. I say that but Dahlia was definitely the right first elimination, the one I see least potential in and the definite weak link. I think, and I was trying just not talk about her but it's pertinent, I think having that dark cloud hanging over the season is marring it and because she won, it's annoying me more  Of course nobody knew at the time what she had done and they can hardly edit out her winning, but when I don't even feel like she deserved it (granted, I'll begrudgingly give her best runway) it just feels even worse.
March 14, 20205 yr Same, I didn't like anything in this episode, only a few of the runway looks stood out, particularly Gigi's, Jan's and Sherry's. Challenge and lip sync were terrible.
March 14, 20205 yr The challenge was meh. Other than a few of the girls, most weren't that great. Although I did laugh at Rock's fruit punch on Jaida. I thought the bottom 2 was right. Crystal did better than both in the main challenge and that should count more than the runways, even if her runway look wasn't very good. Dahlia going home was correct - at times it looked like she didn't know the words. She certainly seemed to be the weakest/most one dimensional queen on the show. I felt sorry for Aiden. He made an effort to lead but Brita and Sherry just overpowered him. I thought his idea of being out of sync at times was perfect and would've made their team funnier. I hope Aiden manages to do well in the competition. I do feel Heidi should've won. Although I can't deny Sherry did well in the challenge and had the best runway. Perhaps I'd feel differently if Sherry didn't do what she did. Overall, it was an ok episode. I expect next week is going to be really good though being a fashion ball! I'm expecting some amazing looks from the girls. *_*
March 14, 20205 yr I echo the Heidi should won sentiment. And that lipsync was mediocre jesus...like two standing statues and challenge was who's looking prettier!!! And with that attitude the right decision was made who to sent home. You can't just be pretty...there's 12 seasons of RuPaul show and you would think you should know that by now  GiGi runway look was omg my favorite
March 14, 20205 yr Thoughts: - I didn't like Brita and the other one saying Aiden didnt do well in the challenge. Tbh I thought Aiden held her own and that brita was my least fave in that group. Aiden's idea was actually better tbh could have more room for comedy cos when it came down to it it felt more scripted than improvised. - Heidi and Jackie was the best for me in the challenge. I also liked rock too Haha. - Jan, Jaida, Gigi, Heidi were all amazing. - the lipsync was meh as ru would say but right person went.

I agree...basically all three of them had the same script  so attacking her was pure evil.
March 14, 20205 yr Yeah that's what I thought was really wrong, they basically all did the same role Aiden yes perhaps Sh*rry did make it pop that bit more to stand out compared to the others which is what you should do when you have something like that with the same roles, but she did nothing wrong in comparison to the others. Sherry and Brita just seem to have a certain view of what drag has to be and what's valid and because Aiden doesn't fit that, she's not "good enough". I'm not the biggest fan of Aiden but there was nothing founded in what they felt the need to tear her down on at all.
March 14, 20205 yr That has to be one of the worst challenges of all-time. The right person went at least - there was nothing to her! Stinking attitude, okay-ish runways.
March 15, 20205 yr Painfully slow episode. Agree that Heidi should've won. She's got a lot of character without being obnoxious. A rare quality. Sherry and Brita showed their own unprofessionalism in suggesting that Aiden was a poor leader. A good leader recognises the strengths of their team members and capitalises on them. If Aiden had been a poor leader, Sherry wouldn't have been allowed to shine, and therefore win the ep.
March 15, 20205 yr Sherry's win was very puzzling to me, what I think happened was that because of all the controversy surrounding her, the producers edited her screen time down & maybe that's why we didn't get to see more of her in that challenge. Yes Heidi should have won that task & Jan deserved more than safe (that look was everything). That lip sync was terrible & Dahlia clearly struggled with the rap part, apparently her storming off was also edited down, in reality she just stood there for 30 minutes & wouldn't say anything according to Nicky Doll. The right one definitely left her broccoli skit was awful she kept looking at the other girls (clearly a sign of panic). I was quite surprised Crystal didn't end up in the bottom 2 (sheer luck), but got a feeling she'll step it up in the next episode. Brita & Sherry seem to be getting the villain edits for this season, they're treatment of Aiden was a bit unfair, but to be honest she does need to step it up or otherwise she won't last long. March 15, 20205 yr I'm still getting Gothy Kendoll from Aiden although Shita came across like two nasty cows this episode. Tbh I found this episode a really awkward watch as so many of Sherry's quotes came off really unfortunately in light of her actions. "Its like the Titanic" "one big problem in this group" and then everything about not letting one weak link drag the team down, yikes... I'm rarely a fan of the acting challenges anyway and this one was just very strange, although Ornacia made it for me  that was a fab callback. Really don't know what Sherry did to deserve the win though, not sure if the episode has been re-edited or what or if the producers just have a different sense of humour, but I thought 3 Girls 1 Brain was one of the least funny sketches. The vegetables one dragged, the scouts one was a bit poorly acted but not wonderfully written either. The old lady trio was good though & I would've been happy with those girls getting top 3. Once again I'm confused by the edit surrounding Jan, she wasn't very visible in this episode once again despite doing everything right AND then having one of the better runways, a Sharon-esque twist on the task. Lipsync wasn't great but the bottom 3 was accurate, I'dve dropped Aiden down there too for a not great performance, poor leadership (despite a difficult team) and a poor runway for now the 4th time. I'm guessing Ru gave her a lifeline due to the difficulty of working with Sherry and Brita. Nicky definitely won the lipsync just by virtue of trying to dance, even with a harder outfit to do that in than Dahlia's. On the point of Sherry, even before the allegations I'm incredibly confused by the edit. They are suggesting her to be all-out strong and charming, but she's coming across as a slightly less malicious Darienne Lake with good runways but not great at much else. I've no idea why the producers imagined that behaviour would create a fan favourite even if that was all there was to her. Next out I would say either Aiden or Brita as a shock early exit. Imagine they'll keep Nicky until Snatch Game if possible. (which no doubt Sherry will do well in :o)
March 15, 20205 yr The bottom 3 was a correct reflection on the challenge, but I'm a bit miffed at Dahlia going home first. To me, she seemed like she could have had a Naomi Smalls type journey, so I'm gutted she's gone so soon with so little time to improve and show what else she's got. I'd have felt the same if Nicky went home though, so yeah not a fan of what's happened there at all.
March 15, 20205 yr i don't think dahlia had ANY room to improve at all :( she's that kind of queen who does what SHE does, but she just seems like a queer person who likes to dress up in the female-presenting instagram aesthetic and act sexy. that seems to be all that the Haus of Aja offer, Aja aside.
March 15, 20205 yr Once again I'm confused by the edit surrounding Jan, she wasn't very visible in this episode once again despite doing everything right AND then having one of the better runways, a Sharon-esque twist on the task. Preach. I thought her runway was the best and she was really good in the challenge.
