I do find it amusing that the Prince of Wales who is normally based in England is self isolating in Scotland.

In direct violation of the order no to visit second homes.

As if rural Aberdeenshire has the capabilities to handle a Royal needing ICU.

I have to say I’m tiring of people saying Boris is doing a good job. He’s reacted to everything very late. They’re doing the best they can now, but what took them so long?

Implemented everything late indeed - from the banning of flights from Italy, Iran and China to the introduction of social distancing measures...agreed they are doing the best now but should have acted far sooner.

I live above a row of shops and the newsagents is closing tomorrow  I got what I could but I will now have to walk 20 mins to the local centre to mix with hundreds of people to get provisions from now on, something which I desperately wanted to avoid. Can't even get an online shopping spot for weeks still.
Went on my one designated walk a day and saw a group of people playing football at the park :drama: There is truly no hope for humanity.

Yeah I saw loads of this too :( ugh

Surely it can't be long until they take even stricter approaches?

Sounds like a silly decision then to close the newsagents because of coronavirus. You should write a letter to the owners explaining the situation for you and other residents. Although maybe the workers in the shop had to self isolate because they were in at risk groups?

I saw dog walkers having friendly chats

I think some people must foolishly think because its outside its OK to come into close contact with people, maybe because before the focus was on stopping indoor gatherings.

Newsagents can stay open though as can off-licences now, to ease the pressure on supermarkets.

Am only going out once with the dog. Was very quiet at 6pm when I went. Didn't see a soul.

All that’s going to happen next is they will van people from going outside. Infact it’s definitely going to happen.

In New Zealand where I am currently stranded you can only go outside for essentials, no outside exercise..

Can you walk dogs?

I went out at about 7am to get everything I needed from the supermarket, it was a bit of an anxiety inducing experience but I maintained distance from everyone and refreshingly saw everyone else in the supermarket (and on the street) adhering to it as best they could too.

Also I was able to get various essentials like toilet rolls and handwash. Win win!

The daily amount of coronavirus related deaths halved day-by-dy to 43 yesterday, although new infections increased with a record 1,452 cases. Let's hope we can start to see some encouraging results from the measures put in place in the next few days.
Update on the person I know that had it: she said it was like the worst flu ever but only lasted for like a week & then she recovered. Think some people may be unlucky just to get it, I guess its immune systems or could be unknown health conditions.

For the last 24 hours I've been sneezy with sore eyes and a very mild headache. In normal times this would be because it's the start of tree pollen season (which never used to affect me until a few years ago!) but I've barely been outside and of course I'm going to overthink this oh god.

There are now nearly 200 diagnosed cases in my city (over half of these are hospitalisations and the disease isn't that severe that frequently, so there are bound to be many more undiagnosed mild cases) and I was in classrooms with, what, 250 different kids two weeks ago. So it's entirely likely that I was at least exposed to it.

Let’s not incite even more panic plz.

Cases rising doesn’t mean there are more infected people every day. People are being tested more and more so it’s logical the number of infected people also rises.
